I want an offensive overhaul
Posted by FlexDawg on 1/1/26 at 11:51 pm
I just want to see a modern offense. I’m tired of the constant screens and run-heavy approach. Open things up with an explosive passing game where wide receivers and tight ends are actually featured and catching the ball consistently. Not only would that be far more exciting, it would also help attract higher-level receivers and quarterbacks.
We also need to lean into the transfer portal more and do a better job filling our weak spots. Relying on developing 90%+ of the roster from high school recruits and waiting years for them to mature within the culture just isn’t enough anymore. Indiana has shown that a portal-heavy roster can absolutely work.
College football isn’t what it used to be, and yeah, that’s frustrating—but you either adapt or get left behind.

He would have been broken in half behind that O-Line.

The offense dropped off significantly when Drew Bobo went out. We were averaging well over 400 yards a game before he got hurt. Last 3 games we're averaging around 290. Defense miss Gabe Harris.
Need better depth then. Can’t risk the season for a couple of guys.

How do you think this OL would do against that Miami defense?
And Carson Beck doesn’t deserve to beat us.

The team you saw tonight had 0% chance of beating Oregon or Indiana. The injuries don't help either.
We would have had a shot at Miami, but that would just be delaying the inevitable. The worst feeling in the world is making it to the natty and losing. I have no issue with getting this L out of the way.

I’m not too mad.
If by chance we would have beaten Miami, we had 0% chance of beating Oregon or Indiana with the team we saw tonight.

Do players ejected for second half get to come back for OT lol?

Was OM 51 on the field? The dude who got hurt last possession? He was wreaking some havoc
It’s only fair to even things out.

Where has that been the whole game? If you can do it now, then you could have been doing it the whole game.

We should have just literally ran the ball to Frazier and Bowens every snap.
