Populism is an inherently collectivist philosophy, which is why it always pulls to the left. It likes bigger government, as long as government is intervening to benefit "Us."

This is such a silly argument from "conservatives." Every time, it's the same thing. Any government intervention is "big government." Do you know the only thing stopping monopolies that raise prices against the "free market" forces always being championed?

As MAGA I want targeted government intervention to prevent the average person from simply being a sheep to the wolves of the rich and powerful. You're willing to let those with more access to the levers of power take advantage of you simply because of your "principles." That is insane.

We're asking for a level playing field, and you think you're being virtuous for fighting with one hand tied behind your back. You can watch the middle class shrinking before your eyes, and you're willing to let it wither to crony capitalism and corruption just so you can continue the illusion that your principles matter when others don't play by the same rules.

Many conservatives have fallen into the trap of idealism, but the world doesn't follow the rules they want.
An average white kid without connections hasn't been able to get a grant or loan in decades. It was well-known in the 90s that you needed to be a minority.
quote:

Is there any indication that they're trying to avoid the chaos?

Yes, Trump offered to pay illegals to leave. If they all took his offer, there would be no chaos. Trump gave them a choice. They chose the chaos. This is clearly on them.
quote:

In political theory, populism has a specific structure: politics framed as a moral conflict between “the real people” and a corrupt or illegitimate elite, combined with the claim that only one movement or leader authentically represents the people. Institutions that mediate power, courts, media, elections, civil service, are treated as suspect when they constrain that claim.

I fail to see how this is a smear. It makes the people who call everyone that seem desperate.

$1.5 trillion is being stolen from us annually. Even more with intentional inflation. How is this not a moral conflict? Innocent, hard-working people are having their wealth stolen and children pushed into a worse society.

And I'm supposed to pretend this isn't happening because someone calls me a populist?

Everyone loves to quote George Carlin, "It's a big club, and you ain't in it." But I'm not supposed to vote like that is true because then I would be a populist?

Am I supposed to act like our instutions aren't corrupt when I'm choosing a candidate? Am I supposed to ignore the candidate that has solutions for the problems I can clearly see and vote for the establishment candidate just so I can say, "At least I'm not a populist?"

It's really stupid to keep voting for people who only focus on themselves and their donors at your expense just because it would be "populist" to support the candidate working to improve the life of the average American.

Trump has lowered the deficit, inflation, food costs, energy costs, and is working on even more. But I'm supposed to be angry at all these things that benefit me because of "populism." At least they have moral superiority to make up for the lack of intelligence.

I think ICE would be benefited tremendously by having agents cease wearing face coverings

Your solution to benefit ICE is to make it easier for the lunatic leftist mob to dox them? The officer who rightfully killed the "protestor" who tried to run him over had to move after they threatened his family. They even doxxed his father.

You want federal agents to put their lives at risk for feelings and optics. And when an ICE agent or his family member gets murdered, do you think that will benefit ICE as well?

Feelings! These are illegal aliens committing the worst crimes and stealing from the taxpayer. I don't really give a shite about trolling the scum of society. The reason it's so hard to do the necessary dirty work is because of soft people like you who care more about appearances than lowering the crime rate and preserving our culture.

Islam advanced science most notably in mathematics and astronomy. The baton of advanced civilization was carried by Islam for a few hundred years. Neither of us can prove what would have happened had Islam not done so, but it surely would have been worse

The people who advanced science and math under the caliphate were primarily not the muslims. They were the conquered who were forced to convert. The pillaging muslims didn't contribute much at all.

Many of the scholars during the Dark Ages were from Persia, Central Asia, and Turkey, meaning they were not the Arabs running around spreading Islam with a sword. At best, you can give them credit for not killing all the scientists.

Massie has a 96% Liberty Score with Conservative Review, whose editor-in-chief is Mark Levin, someone who personally despises Massie.

Wait, so neocon Mark Levin, who you guys hate, runs the Liberty score that you guys always tout? So, while you're all claiming to hate Levin, you're constantly pimping the congressmen he rates the highest.

You vehemently disagree with Levin, yet you support the guys he tells you are the best to support. Make it make sense. This is why always promoting someone else's opinion in support of your own is troublesome. You're tying yourself to them, and when they sink, you sink.

I've never considered the Liberty Score to be hallowed like you guys. Now that I know Levin runs it, my opinion of those who use it as a crutch is even lower.

Only the ones contributing to the insurrection.

When has this board become so anti-constitutional?

How is the insurrection act that has been on the books for 2 centuries and used multiple times unconstitutional?

Don’t take away MY liberties because of whackos. My rights don’t end where your feelings begin.

Prohibiting federal law enforcement from doing their job isn't a feeling. It's a fact and specifically mentioned in the law.
I knew it was a black feral killing an innocent White baby before I even opened the thread. It's always the same.

All the reporting says that the case had major evidentiary problems ... not least that the mother gave contradictory evidence and initially swore that this guy did not harm the child.

Well, there is this part...

quote:

A man who admitted to killing his then-girlfriend’s 1-year-old son

From the linked article above

A man admitted to killing a child and he was given probation. What more evidence do you need for a jail sentence?

What was the defense? That the kid tripped? That someone broke in and murdered the kid while he was home alone? Someone beat their kid to death while they were home but didn't stop it?

He had 2 broken legs and damage to his brain and eyes. It's not hard to figure out what happened. It's not hard to understand that a piece of shite mother would put her ghetto boyfriend above her own son and lie about it.

There is no excuse for giving an admitted child murderer a soft sentence. Attempting to provide cover for the people responsible is disgusting.
quote:

I’m sure everyone would be fine if Obama or Biden did this. No big deal

It's almost like motive and intent matters.
That mans deserves a lot of credit.

The pedo, after being caught with a child while already on the predator list, deserves a flaying.
For every day that the terrorist supporter spent out of jail after he was released incorrectly, the rogue judge should have to spend a day in jail.

Judges need to be held accountable for their bad decisions, but the corrupt legal system and lawyers in congress will never hold their own accountable.

Two, the quarterly earnings of foreign companies that explicitly state their lower earnings are because they are discounting to suppliers in the US so they can absorb the duties.

This is how you know the panicans are just emotional retards. These companies literally told us they were eating the costs, but they chose to ignore it and makes themselves look like idiots.

Once again, those people will keep their heads down and avoid these threads. They'll be back to spewing lies and telling us how awful the tariffs have been tomorrow.
Riley calls it the "Trump/Epstein ring." This guy talks like Trump and Epstein were best bros who co-ran the sex trafficking ring.

His story completely contradicts all of the documented evidence concerning Trump and Epstein. In other words, only morons and people who hate Trump are dumb enough to believe it.

He also claims that other victims were murdered in front of him, but for some reason, they let him live and allowed him to join the military and eventually tell his "story."

The fact that he calls it the "Trump/Epstein" ring and puts Trump’s name first, despite all the evidence pointing to Epstein and Maxwell, should be a big clue that this guy has an agenda and is full of shite.

Just 57 Billion?
You act like that's chump change.

Is that what you want your tax dollars spent on?
Not me.

You're the guy who would have bitched about the Louisiana Purchase. Our country would be half its size if people like you were in charge.

Let's see... $57b to buy trillions in minerals. It's a no-brainer to anyone who passed 5th grade math.

This is why India and other countries are not on the list. It's a list of people on welfare. Indians on h1bs are not on welfare.

Massie isn't being vindictive towards President Trump. He has said over and over that he doesn't think Trump is implicated in the files.

Massie created his bill to give Trump a political black eye and as retribution for Trump tweeting about him not voting for the MAGA agenda.

The issue was never that Massie thought Trump was implicated.
quote:

That's a fair point. Massie isn't a dumbass though, so, I think it does bring his motives into question. Maybe he thought it was the only way he could get the bill passed.

So, Massie does know compromise. But only when teaming up with democrats to go after Trump.
quote:

She thinks 21 year old her deserves a man bringing in 250k so she can hire a nanny and cosplay as a tradwife after spin class.

How did you get "hire a nanny" and "cosplay tradwife after spin class"? She literally said she wants one kid in her belly and one on her hip while she milks cows and harvests eggs. What she said and what you are claiming she wants aren't even in the same ballpark.

And the $250k was clearly your input, not hers. She just wants a husband to cover the bills while she handles the home. The same situation that has worked for thousands of years.

This woman is literally saying what conservatives claim to want, but half the posts are bitching about her. She clearly says she wants to be a stay at home mom, but she can't as a single woman. She says being a homemaker is more fulfilling than a corporate job. Isn't this what conservatives have supported in the past?

Even when they get what they want, conservatives still complain.
