re: French troops have arrived in Greenland to show them how to surrender

I like how they flew in commercial and are taking tour buses. I bet that situation will hold up well until our first C-130 arrives with real military equipment. They’re gonna have to ask their bus drivers to drop them off at the airport so they can tell our guys they aren’t welcome in Greenland.

You are partially correct. The problem is we allow too much freedom to outsiders. Non US citizens should not have the same rights as citizens. Non citizens should have a limited freedom of speech, freedom of assembly ( as in protesting ). Non citizens should not be allowed to speak out or protest the USA on USA soil.
I know we currently find ourselves in a news cycle showing rampant fraud and lawlessness perpetrated by groups of recent immigrants, but what happens in your scenario if immigrants are actually being mistreated? Do they not get to call attention to their plight? Does it seem likely that their lack of ability to voice concerns results in intentional mistreatment by wildly immoral people who just so happened being born on U.S. soil?
This a great example of why we’re in the position we’re in. Our population is trained to consider only the most simplistic first-order effects of ideas. Not only are most people weak in defending good ideas, they also lack the second-order thinking skills to properly evaluate ideas. We are left with a large segment of our population that are not able to discern a good idea from a bad one. And when they do happen upon a good idea they are either unable or unwilling to vigorously defend it.

Stop importing people en masse and make the case against bad ideas. The whole point of the first is to allow people to vigorously debate ideas. Most of these ideas are downright stupid but people are giant pussies and are afraid to push back.
re: What happened to the libertarian movement re: immigration?
Posted by AUTiger1978 on 1/17/26 at 12:28 am to HailHailtoMichigan!
Reason and CATO were both founded by the Koch brothers who are globalist libertarians. Meaning they want to import cheap labor and support global free trade. Many libertarians realize that libertarian values are excellent on a national basis. Only liberal morons who are not true libertarians or those who have significant interests in global corporations and benefit from selling abroad believe it’s good for the nation as a whole to adopt libertarian policies outside of our borders.

Maduro Guilt
Posted by AUTiger1978 on 1/4/26 at 10:55 pm
Is there some reason people keep worrying about whether the Maduro trial results in a guilty verdict? It’s not like he gets reinstated as Venezuelan president if the NY libs find him innocent. I mean, I realize it’s not a great look but I don’t think anybody is going to change their opinion of the whole affair based on the trial’s verdict.

And ole Ron was a rep when we let the 911 hijackers into the country and trained them to fly.
Rand is like the pussy off brand version of Ron. No comparison.
Also, I forgot about Ron Paul being personally responsible for doing background checks on all the 9/11 hijackers. I think he was their flight instructor too, wasn’t he?

It’s actually simpler than that:
1. Because it’s blowback for us destroying half of the Middle East.
2. Because the ones that weren’t a direct reaction to our wars in the ME were created, armed and funded by the U.S. and other western powers.
Ron Paul was right.

re: Tucker Carlson needs to be marginalized

Actually, Tucker is one of the few that tries to keep Trump focused on America First and rooting out corruption in DC.
re: Tucker warns Trump about regime change in Venezuela
Posted by AUTiger1978 on 12/22/25 at 1:26 pm to KCT
Any idiot that places Tucker in the same category as Candace Owens either has never listened to him or has nefarious motives. Tucker is certainly freed of the editorial control that networks have exercised over him in the past, but he isn’t batshit insane like Owens.
And that article is straight propaganda that attempts to portray dipshits like Mark Levin, Ted Cruz or Ben Shapiro as more representative of the America First agenda than Tucker. The funny part is, Trump himself solicits advice from Tucker and a wide range of other folks. Somehow he finds it useful to take in differing opinions, then come to a reasoned conclusion. Sometimes siding with Tucker’s viewpoint and other times he doesn’t. Meanwhile many MAGA voters don’t seem to be able to handle a party that isn’t in 100% lockstep. That absolutely should not be the ideal. We should have vigorous debate in both parties about what policies best represent the American people.

Every team who we lose to are we claiming they are #1? I just need to know if that's our motto this year.
Well, one actually was #1, one was going to be #1 if they beat us and the last one was beating the piss out of anyone that looked at them funny and is currently #2. So, though not technically true, we have played an insane schedule to start the year.
• Houston - 8-1 - #1 when we played at a neutral site and lost by 1 and currently #7
• Michigan - 8-0 - #7 when we played them at a neutral site and currently #2 (with many thinking they should be #1)
• Arizona - 8-0 - #2 when we played them at their home court and currently #1

Hall is good when he is driving and collecting fouls. To me, his entire game is completely dependent on refs blowing whistles when he drives to initiate contact. When they swallow the whistle he is going to have a bad night.
If defenders are allowed to bang on him, he doesn’t get to the line and they aren’t afraid to guard him tight. He doesn’t seem to have the top tier quickness to just blow by excellent defenders to make them pay when they aren’t cautious about drawing a foul. That good but not elite quickness seems to be one of his issues on the defensive side too, where he has trouble guarding guys with an explosive first step.

This may, and probably is, correct, but are we really going to pretend that our intel agencies don’t have the ability to change the metadata attached to a video? There is absolutely no way that every single intelligence agency doesn’t have this ability.

SP is definitely a different demeanor than BP but the in-game coaching is good. Though it does still feel like some are still figuring out their roles, this team appears to be coming together. Even beyond the play and win, I loved seeing the postgame interview with the team mugging for the cameras. You can tell these guys really respect SP and are just having fun together.

You need to use your brain a bit and realize that winning ~10 games at Texas is completely different from winning ~10 games at Missouri.
Exactly! I don’t think many have an appreciation of how hard it is to compete at Mizzou. As far as I am concerned if we can’t get Kiffin, we have to try for Dillingham or Drink. If all three are off the table then you might consider Sumrall. The only lock for consistent 10 win seasons is Kiffin. Dilly and Drink are near locks with the upgrade in resources and would be absolutely competitive (50/50) every year with the big boys. Sumrall is a slightly above average crap shoot. IMO, he does have one massive advantage though. If he hits he is probably AU for life, like Pat Dye.

Yeah, because Sumrall probably hasn’t ever heard of Auburn before. For all he knows that guy stepping out of the sweet arse car could be trying to lure him to a backwoods Mississippi high school or something.

It’s not like Sumrall is coaching in Oregon. Tulane is a manageable drive from AU. And honestly, I would drive there to keep all the flight tracking crazies to a minimum.
