One of these 4 will be the Super Bowl referee. It could be Ed's kid but something tells me they'll finally give Shawn Smith the assignment. It's long overdue.

Sleeping in Bloomington tonight (wife's reunion for her varsity sport...no pics) and there is a ton of electricity here. Like you would think this was a football first school. Cookiecakes with Cig's head are unique. Stadium lit up as if there's a game. Maintenence removing sculptures. Press shooting footage of the bus rolling down I-69 going to the airport... then the 787 taking off. Bloomington PD barring drinks from being served in glass on Monday night. Even hotels are packed just so people can be in town for it. They will be absolutely crushed if Miami wins.
We were here during the final days of Knight. The nutcases almost burned down the University President's house. They tore up a random tree after beating Duke in the sweet 16 and deposited it on the other side of campus. This town may not be the same after Monday night. Classes start up again on Tuesday and I highly doubt anyone (aside from nerds) will be showing up for 9am courses.
As for this thread... I'm really interested in how Cig is building the program. It's not sustainable and he's not taking the layups with building a baseline through HS recruiting. My sons former teammate along the line is holding offers from (and taking visits to) tOSU, LSU, VA Tech, PSU, Ole Piss, etc. Both of his parents were IU athletes (his dad in football). It's probably one of the easiest recruiting effort to take yet there's radio silence. He's losing the last of his JMU guys after Monday and I'm a bit concerned what the next two years look like.

quote:Any rocket launch along the coast is amazing to see. I watched the first shuttle up after Columbia from Cocoa Beach. I've also watched star link launches from Daytona Beach. 20+ years ago watching them from Orlando was great (especially night launches) and I remember watching Columbia go up from my office in Heathrow (and lack of sonic booms at 8am on that fateful day).
I'm considering taking family over to KSC for the launch but I'm unsure how to manage expectations.
Anything with space is something that will awe even the most uncurious of people. If you're there you absolutely need to make it a priority... even if it is must on the beach.
quote:Honestly it will be the first time in many of our lifetimes. The only one I was alive for was the repurposed rocket used for Skylab.
The tweet clearly says it's a mission to orbit AROUND the moon.
It will also be amazing to see live HD video of the moon. (Yes I know there's a short delay in the live signal getting back to earth.... possibly shorter thanks to Elon.) A real visual punch to the eye...

Mamma always said if you don't have anything nice to say...

He should've emptied his clip into that rainbow vehicle the second it made contact.

quote:That was as quiet as I've ever heard of when the Bears were on Offense. The diehards/intelligent fans showed out. It was loud at the start and then dead in the 2nd and 3rd. Urlacher came out with just under 14 minutes left in the 4th and we never sat down. The one thing I did notice on the TV was how full the club seats actually were. (The seats are navy and there were a ton of fans wearing all navy on that side.)
Is it just the Prime broadcast that makes the fans sound so far away or is Soldier Field that quiet?
For reference, we sit 13 rows up from the midfield camera well.

Reading through these posts is hilarious. NGL though, they pretty much sum up how we felt going into half. How it ended though...I wasn't able to sleep until 4:30 (thank God for a late 2pm checkout).
quote:This is just fricking stupid. Yes it's a different GM but there's no way in hell that they were going to use another top 5 pick on a UNC QB. The fans would've burned Halas Hall to the ground. However before the combine there was a conversation on 670 about Jayden. Hindsight is 40/40 but Poles made the right pick even though I completely disagreed at the time. (I was the "we want Fields" yeller during the QB/RB/WR combine day.)
Bears could’ve traded down for Maye and gotten an extra first round pick or two to go with it. Just amazing.

quote:There's a rumor that white on white may be coming up. Most of my neighbors in the stands loved the look. (They finally won a game wearing it!) I've got some pretty cool cell video of that final possession in the game + immediate postgame up in TYT.
Just don’t care for the blue/blue look. Rather white pants with blue jersey

quote:That's a suckers bet. We're getting ready to head over to the stadium and the blue skies are out which favors GB. It's also going to get ugly...I won't be surprised if we see a couple of ejections.
Bears +1.5 at home against a Packers team that's on 4 game losing streak and without Parsons seems like the play
He looks a lot older. I guesses smoking will do that to you.
He has lived longer than I expected he would after his wife died.

JR looks ROUGH.
And Renee is hardly "remarkable".
Still at least there's more than 1 men's match on this show

The FCS Championship Game is coming down to the wire, for anyone interested.
Those blocked kicks were not a surprise...at all.
Overbooked..... again...

There's no rasslin on Paramount... what are they watching?

I think Becky's shoulder pads would have been a little much even in the 80s.

What took so long for them to finally allow Ivy to let her hair down? And this Stranger Things shite is stupid.

How is Gronk hosting on ABC. He sounds retarded
I am finding it funny that they left their set without any type of cover. The rain is making it very easy to tell what parts in Vegas are taped and what parts are live.
Peroni after rediscovering it while OOTC this fall.
