I'm not sure why Hollywood does this. David Oyelowo is a fine actor, but there are plenty of others that should be cast in this role.

Been a fan of hers for a while. Was excited that she was cast in Black Panther 2, thinking she would have a bigger role in a few movies but she was killed off early by Namor. Bummer

For me it was the cost. I grew up in Philly and loved watching the Flyers play. 1 year I saw a local ad for youth hockey and asked if I could try it. When my dad saw the price of hockey gear, I was told to stick to basketball and football.

Slavery doesn't exist in America so indentured servants come from Northern, Southern, and Eastern Europe. Also, slavery still exists in the Caribbean and Latin America, so along the way you still will get immigrants that come into the US.
The idea that the US would be a white mecca is false.
There's also writings about how music would be different. Rock and roll, blues, jazz, probably wouldn't come to be.
