Fukc that $hit. Put me down as an "attack helicopter."

The Game:

• You and someone from the other end of the political spectrum gets to send the other to ANY public university in the country (e.g. BAMA, LSU, etc.);
• The person that’s “on” has to spend an entire day walking around the chosen campus;
• The person that’s “off” gets to (a) pick the day; (b) where the “on” person walks; (c) what the “on” person wears; and (d) (obviously) the college;
• The person that’s “off” simply follows around the person that’s “on” from a good distance and silently observes;
• The chosen clothing essentially has to (a) reflect the “off” person’s politics; (b) not be vulgar; and (c) be reasonably mainstream (for folks like the “off” person anyway);
• The “on” person doesn’t have to say anything in particular during the campus walk, but he/she also doesn’t get to break the “illusion” that his/her clothes reflect his/her politics (e.g. through words, signs, or other signals);
• So, for example, the “off” person can have the “on” person walk around Berkeley’s campus, on a busy day, wearing a MAGA hat, American flag pants, and an NRA T-shirt.

The Awards:

• The “loser” is whichever one gets treated worse during their “campus walk” day. A neutral judge can shadow both “walks” to settle any “close calls” about who loses, etc.;
• If both sides are essentially ignored/left-alone, it’s a draw (i.e. no “losers” and no “winners”);
• $1,000 from the loser to the winner;
• The loser has to pay the winner’s travel and lodging costs; and
• Each person is responsible for his/her own medical bills (and the like) associated with his/her “walk.”

The Conversation:

1. Do you lean conservative or liberal?
2. Would you agree to play this game in real life (or something a lot like it)? Why or why not?
3. Where would you send your opponent?
4. What would you make your opponent wear?
5. What do you think your analysis says about folks that lean right and folks that lean left?

Thanks for playing!

Thoughts and Prayers,
