Would be adding even more athleticism to what is already the most athletic team in the league.

We have enough play-making on the team to where it won't matter who the backup "PG" is. The team will share play-making responsibilities
Ingram is the only thing I don’t like about the trade. Hopefully we are able to flip him for sometbing else.
I’m most excited about lonzo here, this is the best situation for him and I think he’s gonna thrive here. Plus all the picks keep us flexible and ready to pounce on anytbing we want
Have no idea about her, but I trust griffin so I’ll assume it’s a good hire

Nah I'll pass on that, let Houston lay in the grave they dug. Not trying to bail them out
I would look to send ingram off somewhere else in any laker deal. I don't really like anything about his game, he's extremely iso heavy, the ball just stops when he gets it, and he cant shoot the 3 ball. Not to mention how slow footed he is on defense and just doesn't have the instincts on that side of the ball.

Also this coming year is the last year of his contract before he'll be restricted and I'm not trying to pay him the amount hes probably going to get on the market

re: Soooo screw AD, right?

I think keeping him is definitely the first option, he’s a top 10 talent and you can’t just find those type of guys on trees.
The possibilities on both sides of the ball with Jrue, Zion, and AD are endless

Only way a Lakers trade could happen is if they work out a three team deal. Can't see the lakers assets being enough by themselves to get a deal over the line and its definitely not something I would prefer

However, I will say I like Lonzos potential on this team, he plays amazing defense, has elite court vision, and would give Zion some of the easiest looks
How likely is Blake griffin? You mentioned his name a few weeks back

Draft targets

The Pelicans pick 51st in the 2018 draft. I believe you try to go after guys with high upside that can contribute something when you pick this late in the draft. Go best available regardless of position.

Justin Jackson F from Maryland: Jackson is a 6’7 SF with a 7’2 wingspan that shot 44% from 3 in college and can guard multiple positions. Downside is he had a bad shoulder injury but if it checks out ok then he can be a potential steal for us

Josh Okogie G/F from Georgia tech: physical freak with a 7’0 wingspan that shoots the ball well. Doubt he falls to us but maybe if he drops enough we can trade up to get him. One of the more well known prospects in the later rounds

Shake Milton G from SMU: 6’7 guard with a 6’11 wingspan. He can run the offense and reminds me of a Shaun Livingston type because of his length. He is also excellent in catch and shoot situations which would be ideal in our offense.

Trevon Duval G from Duke: 6’3 with a 7’0 wingspan. He has great size and is one of the best floor generals in the draft. Good physical defender and has potential. Terrible shooter and teams can sag off him on defense which can be a big problem in today’s league

Alize Johnson F 6’9 from Missouri state: Versatile forward that rebounds the ball well. Showed mixed signs in college from behind the arc. He’s definitely not one of the best athletes but has shown he can guard multiple positions and can bring some value to a team

Chimezie Metu 6’11 F/C from USC: Explosive athlete and is best used as more of an off ball threat on offense. Very limited with the ball in his hands and can struggle to finish and doesnt have a great jump shot. He’s a shot blocker who uses his athleticism and quick feet to guard multiple positions.

Any thoughts on who y’all would like to see us go after or anybody who has y’all interest?
That would be horrible for the NBA. That being said, AD is the most untouchable player in the league at the moment. He isn’t going anywhere.
You say Bembry can guard and play the 3 yet he's the same size as Bazemore and isn't proven in the league. Bembry isn't a realistic option regardless. The Hawks aren't going to trade team friendly contracts during a rebuild. Bazemore is excellent off the ball and can absolutely guard almost any 3 in the league. He has a 7'0 wingspan and can hit the three ball. We'll most likely resign Boogie so the only way to build up the team is through trade. The money is already being spent, so it's not like we can us the 17 mil we're gonna pay him and sign whoever we want.
I’d love to see us go after a guy like Bazemore. He’s a solid scorer and defender who can play off the ball. I think he’d thrive playing with us.
