I agree T-Rob hasn't shown me shite honestly
I love LSU and am a homer 100% but he hasn't done much to help on the recruiting trail
re: T or F: Our ability to recruit TX is more important than keeping a few away from Bama?

Definitely both but if we locked down OUR state consistently every year we wouldn't need to RELY on Texas recruits saving our asses
re: Watching the 2014 Bama game

Yeah man I started watching it and just couldn't! Whoever says we running the same offense now as we were the just needs to watch this game I had to swap to the replay of the Minnesota Saints game from Sunday! Watching that old offense was like watching paint dry lol

the guy who has succeeded every stop he has made as a OC or HC you mean? The one jake coker said was the best QB coach in the nation? he had one bad year and he was leaving anyway. the guy with a excellent resume? Do you realize he has the 3rd best winning % among active coaches? only behind CUM and petersen? WHat makes you think he could not succeed at LSU and sustain once he gets his guys? I think he made a mistake going to TAMU but that money was impossible to turn down.
And this dude hasn't coached a single game in the SEC much less the SEC WEST as a head coach until this year let him prove he can do it against the level of competition that we have to go through every year then he will have done something

I would take Fisher in a second over Orgeron. Orgeron is doing a great job this season. Fisher is a safer bet to be a better coach long term I think because of his ability to consistently recruit and develop good QBs
Yeah long term at $75 mil? No way and not to mention he's the type to jet to the next shiny coaching job. Nick Saban retires and he would go to Alabama in a heartbeat

So everybody saying they want Fisher? Isn't this the same guy that let Florida state go from national champion to floor mat of their conference now? There's a reason he left! And he never had to play in the western division of the SEC for a whole season until now so we'll see just how good a coach he is

Lol so true!!! I'm from West Monroe and was so pissed when I found out that our crooked DA Jerry Jones dropped charges on Cam Robinson and Hootie Jones when they were arrested back home in West Monroe on weed and gun charges!!! Ouachita Parish DOES NOT let people off the hook for ANYTHING!! And the fact these were 2 players from Monroe/West Monroe that turned on the state and went to Alabama and for the DA to let them walk tells me all I need to know!! The DA is already crooked and so is NICK the DICK Saban so I'll go ahead and say it Sabans Bagmen took care of it

Posted by ThEGrEat 7 on 10/30/18 at 10:44 am to theicebox
Yeah I agree everybody is talking about how giving up 2 first rounds picks is ridiculous but Chicago gives up 2 firsts for Mack and everybody is praising them for it!! Davenport isn't Mack at this point but if he becomes anything similar to him then it will be well worth the draft picks!! Who in the NFL wouldn't give up 2 first round picks for an elite pass rusher? Only time will tell if he's the ONE

re: Do y’all think LSU vs Mississippi State will be an offensive or defensive game
Posted by ThEGrEat 7 on 10/20/18 at 1:33 am to Kidcube1
No way I think it's gonna be a offensive game miss state has probably the best Dline in the sec and that's including bama LSU likely to sell out on miss state run game and force Fitz to throw which he hasn't proved he could do against defenses not nearly as good as Lsu's

The quoted part said the run run pass punt era was over. I pointed out it's actually as bad as its even been.
A lot of that has to do with us taking more chances as in taking shots down the field on first and second down and when those shots fall incomplete it creates third and long situations but that's not completely the whole story we absolutely have to get better in third down and red zone scoring TD/FG ratio but man it is so nice to have a offense and QB who can actually complete a third and long every now and then lol also coach O loves LSU and has done damn near whatever it takes to make us great again from going out AFTER the spring game and getting a transfer QB because he wasn't satisfied with what we had and wanted us to do good now and from spending a scholarship on a one year kicker (who's arguing that now) and from getting a guy he trusts to run the offense and make us successful
re: Biggest 1 vs 1 Matchups vs. MSST on both sides of the ball
Posted by ThEGrEat 7 on 10/16/18 at 10:33 am to classicgold
I'm just glad Fitz is playing QB and not Thompson I don't know what the coaching staff sees in Fitz anymore all he's good for is running Thompson played my high school (West Monroe) in the state championship a couple of years ago and ran through our vaunted defense he had like 500+ yards of offense and like 5 TD's nobody could stop him Les Miles late to the gun recruiting him then I see week one he had 7 TD's while Fitz was out makes me wonder why they can't see he's the better QB his recruitment reminded me of the Dak situation

Why pay Odell and not feed him the ball
Posted by ThEGrEat 7 on 10/11/18 at 8:36 pm
I'm watching this game and like I know they've been trying but the Giants were just in the redzone and didn't try and throw him the ball once! I mean if your put off by all his hoopla stuff then don't pay him but if your going to make him the highest paid receiver in the history of the NFL then you would think they would FORCE FEED him the ball if need be especially on passing downs just give him a chance!! Throw it up!! He might make another one handed catch!! Lol

Definitely a total disaster if this happens. Not all 3 of Alexander, Lawrence and Fehoko will leave, but it wouldn't surprise me if 2 of the 3 did, which is still the same horrific end effect. You also cant really count on quality freshmen snaps on the DL, 5-star or not.
Definitely man and add to the fact that if they leave who has the staff recruited other than these starters? Tyler shelvin? How's that going? We haven't been landing the big fish on the DL lately and that's going to come back to bite us!!

There were maybe 3-4 plays where the OL didn’t legitimately hold up. One was on a blitz up the middle. Pass pro wasn’t bad. It was the WR & QB tonight not getting open & holding the ball
I completely agree there were times the Oline didn't hold up but there were numerous times burrow had all day to throw and none of the receivers could get separation! He held the ball 4 seconds a couple of times scanning the field going through his progressions and nobody was open. I'm worried about the receivers! As talented as they are! Also starting to think Chase should have been givin #7 haven't seen anything out of Giles to warrant #7 in the les Miles era there wasn't necessarily a #7 every year only when somebody is special and deserved it

Glen Dorsey
Honey Badger

This seems like the opposite of going all in. This sounds like securing our future.
I think it's both. We get a QB who just 3 years ago was a first round pick for a 3rd round pick who at the very least can be a capable back up for a couple of games if Bree's goes down and who knows maybe he picks up the system really good and his first round talents come out and mesh and possibly he becomes dare I say the QB of the future as well as the stop gap for a couple of games this year. It looks as though Sean Payton is for sure leaning towards the mobile qb' s now

It's funny how UGA fans and (sadly) some LSU fans think that this is true for Georgia but not for LSU. FACT is wherever Emery (or any player for that matter) goes, if they are better, they will play more. This is true at UGA. It's true at LSU. The only difference is, at one school there are currently four other 4 or 5 star RBs on roster to contend with. That's a fact.
Exactly right anybody who says different is f***ing crazy man I don't care what the numbers are from last year if he comes here he's more than likely number 2 back 3rd back at worst and I'm just saying that bc of seniority etc. and we implementing a new system with a SPREAD ATTACK which would better feature his talents as a runner and a receiver out the backfield I really believe unless we are in short yardage or goal line situations CEH will be the feature back bc of his abilitys running and catching that's what our offense gonna look like this year which is gonna be way more appealing than Georgia in the long run

Absolutely not, but I'm a realist. I know that we lose recruits every single year. It sucks, but it just happens. I do, however, enjoy exploiting delusional LSU fans' ignorance. Especially the ones who arrogantly boast their "knowledge" of recruiting, when they don't know jack shite.
Anybody that knows anything about recruiting knows that it's fluid! A week ago we had all the momentum getting commits left and right now Georgia's Death Star stole one from our neck of the woods and is building more and more but all that said recruiting is fluid and it's not over until February until then I'm gonna hope for the best bc I love my Fighting Tigers!!! ??
