The main premise of the entire Q saga was how people in power control others with mutually assured destruction through blackmail of various types.
The leaders of this group must willingly submit to having blackmail material on themselves and other leaders as a trade off to be part of the “club”.
For lower level people, this info is held back and used if the person doesn’t comply. (Hello Swalwell)
Blackmail can some in various forms.
Threats to the person they want to control by:
-Releasing evidence or falsifying evidence of criminal or embarrassing activity.
-Threats to harm or kill a loved one

This is why you see the Dems always “stick together” when it comes to voting on things that make no common sense. GOP do the same to each other, but for some reason there may not be as many in this club.

The world is going to bypass the oil/gas coming from the strait and find alternate suppliers or ways to get the oil/gas moved around. Hello tankers heading to the Gulf of America.

Iran does not have authority over international waters. The US does not have the authority to "grant" Iran any powers over the international strait (even in we wanted too!)
If Iran's demand to control the strait is true, then they are not serious in these talks.

Going into Saturday, I hope this isnt a cluster frick by the Iranians thinking they have a bigger stick than the US.

Iran is threatening to not attend the talks on Saturday unless Israel stops killing terrorists in Lebanon
Iran claims to have mines in the strait. Seems like they should be picking those up if the strait is supposed to be fully open.
Why should any ships need to coordinate with Iran to traverse the strait if it is freely open? They do not own the strait.
Ships should just go through the strait. If one is hit or damaged it is fully on Iran. Not sure if they really want that.

The problem is that Iran has discovered that they can shut down the Strait by simply making an explosion on an oil tanker or two. And then everyone else "self-closes" the strait out of fear of losing their cargo.
So, there is nothing to stop Iran from doing this again in the future.
Maybe Trump is considering this as a way to ensure that Iran doesnt do this in the future because they have "income" tied into keeping it open. and a "joint venture" would give the US some skin in the game to control the toll and the process?????.
I dont like this idea, but maybe this is why its even being considered, :confused:
