Some more things to think about
(other than my auto correct giving you trolls something to laugh at)
You have seen everyone make different "definitive statements" about when life "absolutely starts", what is and isn't murder and what is and isn't against the laws of god.
Who is right? The answer is: Each one is!

This is why I consider myself AntiAbortion, but ProChoice.

Your 35 year old wife finds our that she is 6 weeks pregnant, but has Ovarian Cancer that will kill her and the unborn child in 8 weeks if left untreated. If a hysterectomy and removal of the ovaries is performed and with aggressive Chemotherapy she has a 95% survival rate.

Your 12 year old daughter was raped by (insert your most hated ethnic/racial/national/sports team person here). She is 6 weeks pregnant but genetic and ultrasound test predict that the infant will be horribly deformed and exist in a vegetative state.

Your Secretary announces that she is pregnant with you child and you are worried how this will affect your run for the State House and your 20 year marriage.

There are any number of situations one can concocted.

If, God Forbid, you are ever confronted with any situation, YOU will have to make the CHOICE! This should be based upon medical advice from your Physician and YOUR belief in YOUR God. Not some of the other beliefs you have seen here, that while right for those people, aren't right for you.

YOU should be the one making the Choice,not the Government!

Because you will have to answer to God for your Choice, not answer to the Government!

Some passing thoughts:
As a Physician who has thoroughly studied embryology and human development I have NO IDEA when Human Life begins.
As a Devote Christian I have NO IDEA when the SOUL enters the body.
More than half of the fertilizations do not go on to a live birth, that is even without elective abortions.
There are many conditions in which the fetus may develop a heart beat, yet be incapable of surviving outside the womb.
Terminating the life of a living individual, or one capable of independent life, is murder.
If a Woman/Family is ever faced with the situation where they must consider the possibility of terminating a pregnancy, they should seek guidance from their God and their Doctor. They shouldn't have to consult with the Government!
When you put the Government power of saying who can or can't have an Abortion, you also give them the power to, at some time in the future, say who MUST have an abortion! Welcome to Eugenics and Germany 1935!
We need to keep the Government out of this as much as possible!
If I as a very well educated Physician don't know when LIFE begins, I refuse to be told when LIFE begins by a bunch of people whose last exposure to any science, let alone any biological science, was giggling through Sex Ed in 6th Grade!!!

The problem is that it was basically set up as a Ponzi scheme, where you pay the original investors off with the investments of the new people. At that time, more people were joining and people were dying younger. Now the Ponzi scheme is collapsing. Pay off those who paid in. Stop collecting from the young. Let them invest on their own!

My concern is that since most of the people who are <40 years old have lived under a fairly "socialistic" US, that is the Government providing more and more support to more people and controlling more of our actions and lives, coupled with the number of people who have, legally or illegally, immigrated to the US who only know socialized government, that the Socialist government proposed by the Democrats seems only natural and logical and impossible to turn down.

What would make the EC more representative is eliminating the "winner take all" rule in most states. The 2 "senator" votes should go the the winner of the popular vote in that state. The "representative" vote should go to the winner of the popular vote in each Congressional District.

It is because they were SOOOOO CLOOOOSE! They had succeeded in creating a governmental system "free from the constraints of the Constitution". They had established their version of the "Politbureau", the "KGB", the "Gestapo", and a judicial system that would rubber stamp and validate anything that they did. They even had their own version of the "Sturmabteilung" (SA) -- the Antifa. They had everything in place to finally seize a totally "extra-constitutional" and unchecked and unbalanced control of the United States! Not only that, but there was no opposition to them putting their "Fearless Leader" in place. The United States would have been as much of a Totalitarian, Socialist state as the Soviet Union was, however without the communist economics, at least initially. It was a "Fait Accompli". Then they "Got Trumped" (pun intended). Not only was there Government decapitated, but now he is proceeding to dismantle the despotic framework they had assembled.
As such we are seeing them fighting for their lives with every means possible short of armed insurrection; and that topic has even been brought up by some of the radical Left Wing in groups.

In a Free Society like the US, you can (should be able to) do what you want. In a Socialist society, NO. the government would control your industry if it was important to the Society. This is what distinguishes a Fascist Socialist government (NAZI's) from the Communist Socialists where you didn't even own the business, the Government does. Even if you are running the business, you are just a Worker for the state.

This is a very important distinction. While Socialism and Communism are very intertwined and codependent, they are not the same.

SOCIALISM is a Political concept. It involves, to a greater or lesser extent, the Governmental control of society. You can only do what the Government allows you to do, or makes you do. It is an Authoritarian/Despotic form of Government. Hitler hated Communism but loved Socialism.

COMMUNISM is an Economic concept. There is no Personal Property. The Government/Society owns everything and you are allotted what you need. The Government "provides" everything for you "free", but you are not allowed to have or obtain anything on your own. Think of the Communes of the 1960's, also all the Monasteries of Europe of the Middle Ages were all communist (note the small "c", people too often think of the USSR when you say "Communism")

It is hard to have a true Communist country without a strong Socialist government to control the people so that everyone works as hard as they can to provide for the government and the people get only what they need.

You can have a Socialist country that isn't Communist. Think NAZI Germany. You could have private property and have your own business, it was just the the Government told you what you have to manufacture, or what you could charge for it.

2011 lightening struck NEAR our house. No tripping of Surge Protectors (very expensive ones),circuit breakers, no soot at outlets. No sign of electric surge in house. AC was down. Found the circuit boards were fried. Had a laptop in a case, no Ethernet or WiFi connection. About half the files showed up as present, but were "unrecognizable" when I attempted to open them. All the NIC cards on all the computers and BluRay players were fried. Home Theater fried. Only answer was EMP from nearby strike. $50K damages. Insurance (eventually)covered it

More civilians were killed in the Fire Bombing of Tokyo. The also saw that in the invasions of the surrounding islands, virtually all the soldiers and most of the civilians choose death (or were killed by the Japanese Soldiers)rather than surrender. With a US invasion there would have been more Japanese deaths and US deaths than the Bombs caused.
