Iran is feeling the financial squeeze. They are trying to do anything that will allow exports to go out so they can infuse some cash into their market. And pay up some of their commitments. I read the military is behind on payments. The longer the blockade on Iran, the greater the pressure.

Simple supply vs demand. Once we remove the ability of non-citizens/non-green card holders form taking jobs at lower pay the pay scale will go up. Problem is politicians and corporations want the cheaper labor.

Ironic thing is, a blockade hurts Iran more than bridges and power loss would.
Making their international income go to zero makes their currency worthless. They can no longer buy products made elsewhere and imported in.
