They need to make the cards hot pink, turn on a siren at the top of the register and have it chirp every time someone uses EBT.

There used to be a sense of shame when using the taxpayers money to feed yourself that shame is gone.

In all seriousness there should be a dedicated line for EBT and checks. Nobody is slower to check out and pay than the EBT users and geriatrics.

If we take Canada do we need Greenland? I’d rather just take Canada specifically to put them in their place and watch the left melt

Why would we want Canada? Assuming each province became a state, do we really want 20 more democrats in the Senate?
I questioned that about a year into the Obama administration. Had some long talks with my old man back then about how civil war was inevitable, not imminent but inevitable. One of the biggest problems with the right is that we are too slow to open our eyes as a group. I got called a racist 10 years ago when I shared a story about an altercation with a rag head. Now it's finally cool to hate them again.
I don't understand why people keep pushing the low birth rate as a bad thing. The world is woefully overpopulated. There's a reason why we're stuck eating GMOs and steroid chickens. A low birth rate is a much more humane way to bring the population back down to sustainable numbers, versus world war, disease, or famine.
MLB. Been a Braves fan since I was 8. Actually longer than I've been a Tiger or Saints fan. The football Tigers passed up the Braves on my totem poll many years ago. Saints did too but the NFL has left a sour taste and I barely watch at all anymore. So I think I'd put the Braves back in the 2 hole.
National divorce is the only viable, long term solution.

This new wave of diverse sheriffs must be the real reason they canceled Blue Bloods. It just became too unrealistic to have a white male Christian as a police commissioner of a major city.
Can we just stick them on the "fishing" boats on their return trips. The ones that get through that is.

That's an awesome story!

It's definitely a rough language.

My baba (the commie haha) and my aunts are now on the north shore too.

Y'all should definitely make a trip down for the fest! We also sell Croatian vino i pivo. There will be bands that fly in from the old country, kolo dancers, etc. It's a great time!

It's in Belle Chasse. Are y'all local? Wasn't sure if you were in Utah or just from Utah. Haha

Really? I did not know that. I only knew if old man Drago (my wife visited with his wife just a few weeks ago when we went to the Metairie location). Are there any places to get burek or cevapi down there?

I love Croatia. Our place is just outside of Porec.

There's hundreds here! We had our office Christmas party at Drago's a few weeks ago.

I'm not familiar with burek. I haven't seen cevapi in any restaurants so I make it myself. But there's also a Croatian Festival the last weekend of March. You'll definitely find it there along with peka, roasted lamb and pork, grilled calamari and sardines, charbroiled oysters, prsut, palacinke and other desserts, you name it.

Yep! There's a bunch of us in south Louisiana. We maintain a pretty close community here. But everyone loves America as much as the old country. Aside from the thick accents of the old men and our names, you wouldn't be able to tell us from any other American.

I've never crossed the border into Bosnia even though it's just over the mountains from where my family is from. But Medugorje is on my list to visit at some point.

Do we consider Slavs an ethnic group? I know a bunch, who came here seeking refuge in the 90's. The bulk of them are more MAGA than anyone I know.

A cultural group maybe. My family is Slavic. We're very white and Catholic if that disqualifies us from ethnic status.

Grandparents and dad came in the '60s to escape communist Yugoslavia. The family is pretty big now with everybody except my grandma being conservative. She never let go of her communist upbringing. Lol.

10% is way too high. Maybe 1%.
