He is sending me 5 rounds of each to plink before I order. Excited because I was wanting some subs for public land. Most shots are under 150yds there and with a suppressor and subs I can stay off anyone's radar when it’s packed with people.
Do you have any experience shooting animals with subs? The shots I have seen although only a few with 308/300blk on deer hogs and a coon have all be very dismal with very lil blood loss or penetration.
950-1000fps is not very impressive
I had a left hand 11-87 premier it was about a 1996-1998 model and it spent more time in the gunshop than my house. It constantly jammed, broke an extractor and had a spring break in the reciver. My uncles and grandpa and older cousins all had older model 1100s and never had issues. One of only a few guns that I got rid of and don’t regret.

Dude probably brought more people into running than any other person. Almost everyone I talk to started their journey doing run/walk, he was a huge force behind changing people's opinions about "walking breaks". So whether you ever did run/walk or not, hear! hear
I had hardly ran any amount most of my adult life although I worked out off and on regularly. At 48 after several years of not working out i decided to change my health and started walking, got bored and started running and a buddy told me to sign up for a 5k.
I ran a 5k and the same buddy told me to sign up for louisiana half, I started training for the half and decided to run the full when I came across an article about his run walk method. I ran the full without walking out of pride but only signed up cus I felt like if nothing else I could do the 16-20 miles running and walk run the last miles if I had too.
I walked ran this year and was only 10min slower than last years pace but my recovery allowed me to run 30miles of a 50 three weeks later.

Well, that guy was a complete dumbass then. Needs to learn what a straw purchase is. What you described is no where close to a straw purchase
Ohh I know but it was the first time I ever bought from a big box store and not a local gun store. I don’t argue with 22yr olds, DMV workers or cops with crew cuts!!! Just say yes sir and what ever you say sir mam as polite as possible!!

If the dealer suspects it is a straw purchase, he is obligated to not make the sale. The things you mentioned, especially buying multiple guns of which you have no knowledge, is a prime example.
I got a quick lesson on how to coach my kids while at the gun counter when my son was 8 or so. Young dude at the counter emphasized that I couldn’t give the youth 20ga I was buying to my son and if I was he couldn’t sell it to me. I promised him the short barrel compact stock was for me and told my kids from then on when I’m buying a gun don’t even act like they are going to shoot it.

Helped a buddy get a begarra all set up in 7mm prc a couple years ago.
He had some handloads of varying powder combos with accubonds and burgers and a couple boxes of factory hornady eldxs. The eldx shot just as good as the handloads with hardly any measurable difference.
I would try the hornady to see if your gun likes it.

Y'all make me sick with these ultras. A 14 mile long run when I was prepping for a half made me question why anyone would do even a marathon
Don’t try to run it at 6-7 min pace and it don’t make you sick lol.
re: 22 pistol, what should I buy? Update in the OP

I bought a browing buckmark in 1992
When i turned 16 my dad had said he wouldn’t let me get a pistol till i turned 18 but slid it to 16 since it was a 22.
It is one of the most shootable guns I own and I have shot probably 10k rounds through it you can get them with threaded barrels now and I will probably end up buying a aftermarket barrel for it once I get a suppressor.

2 miles of intervals at 10:20 pace
Best pace was a 4:52 I’m sure it was only for a few strides lol.
Didn’t have enough time to slog out a long run so figured I would get in some kind of work.

I have a green mountain bull barrel and a butler creek on mine with a Cabela’s brand rimfire specific scope on it that has adjustable turrets. It’s a tack driver and the only thing I dislike somewhat is the stock trigger.
I will probably get a tikka or begarra bolt 22 just because of how much quieter bolt guns are with a suppressor and subs, plan to get a suppressor as soon as the buying frenzy ends.
I will make sure that my next scope has a stadi style retical that way I can zero at 50yd for high velocity and then just memorize what hash mark is needed for the appropriate sub sonic.

this your Z2 pacing? You post pretty consistent pacing in your runs.
10-11 is that 5 mile run average Hr was 127. I have been just focusing on long easy runs just trying to get the volume.
Plan to run a few 5ks this summer and will get to some conventional training with some speed work in it.

Yeah I have sbe2 it’s probably almost 20yrs old now and it’s probably had less than 20 3.5s through it. I would never buy another 3.5 but since it’s left handed I will not try to really replace where it fits in the rotation of guns I use.

3.5s are like 60# of recoil on par with 458s and 500 safari rifles.
Shoot a 3.5 12 or 10ga in a pump gun and it will make you rethink if you really hate animals enough to kill them.

miler is my least favorite ultra distance. I'd rather do a 100 than that distance. nowadays i mostly just do 50ks, it's enough to push me but i don't hate life after
Yeah not sure if I will continue doing them or not but definitely want to finish one especially since I failed that attempt.
6miles today 11:30 pace
I use Ryobi. My brother Is a mechanic he uses Milwaukee.
I have never been disappointed with ryobi and I have a bunch of peices the small one handed chainsaw is my favorite and gets used the most.
I never want to work enough to need more than Ryobi.

3 mile walk today with a mix of a few mins of jogging throughout. Legs stiff but no ITB pain so grateful for that, gonna take it slow all week.

pulled out 2 packs of ground meat, seasoned and loaded it onto racks using the jerky gun. Stuck it in the pellet grill for 3.5 hrs. Pretty easy for jerky/snack sticks
Yeah I guess a jerky gun would be about the same, I was just talking about stuffing and twisting all the snack stick casings or running 6 pounds of meat through a jerky cutter then marinating and all that.
Summer sausage can be mixed with seasoning ground and straight to a couple tubes.
