I’m with you OP: Tent people are the worst!
It wasn’t that way because the pop up tent and backpack chairs weren’t invented.
Since then, it’s BS having a 10x10 tent after tent blocking space for 3-5 people. Last year saw a “family” that had 2 people the whole Saturday.
I would love for the city to roll down the street with a dump truck for tents over night. That would be a fun parade to watch.

You are correct on that one. The Aransas “beach” on the gulf side
There is some crustacean that looks like seaweed which washes up and rots on the beach. Very smelly
Oil tar balls also washing up along with the trash
Trucks and cars all along the sand with crowds
Not a good relaxing time…makes Surfside TX look nice.
