I don’t know what this is. I have someone that can make the shirts for me though.
Recs for any businesses in the BR area that have reasonable prices to make a custom image which I can take to have put onto a shirt. I just need the digital image and will handle the process of getting it onto a shirt. I have no idea what the pricing for this so it may not be practical.

This would be a fairly simple image, at least I think it would be. I’ll add that this will be for a cancer fundraiser benefit and I want to make shirts for all the volunteers that will help with the cook.

Any suggestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Am I the only one who he thinks he should go Medium Heavy in 7ft if targeting reds?

Medium is plenty for redfish unless specifically targeting large bull redfish in which case a heavy action and size 4000 or larger reel would be better suited. The mediums can handle those also if you have some good braid but you have to wear them down for a while. Medium action will be more versatile for targeting slot reds and trout and would be my choice.

Really need a budget but here are a few tips

7 ft medium action spinning
3000 size spool

Preferred brands are Shimano and Daiwa for inshore. Penn is also quality. Pflueger and Okuma are good value.

Pair a rod and reel or combo with the above specs in your budget which I would say should be a minimum of $100-150 and you will be good to go.

I’m no expert on those areas but with this cold front I would go to the deepest water which would be MRGO out of Chalmette I think.
As others have said

30 braid on most all my setups
Fluorocarbon or monofilament leader of varying sizes depending on the application.
The trout bite can be finicky and very particular about the presentation. Often the bite is very subtle like they will just pick the lure up. Shouldn’t be a problem for an experienced angler but I wouldn’t recommend for a novice.
Yes . . I am pretty sure there is water.

I kid I kid.

Didnt go all the way down to Hopedale but just fished the MRGO around. Chalmette and it seemed plenty high

It’s not sexy or fancy but for good simple food at a great price go check out Country Kitchen in Gonzales for lunch.
Yeah, don’t buy that boat. Get a 19-20 ft bay boat. There should be plenty of blue wave and nautic stars in your area for the same price as the boat you posted.

Try to find a 21-22 ft bay boat that’s on the lighter side if your budget allows. Blazer bay, Blue Wave, and, Pathfinder are a few that come to mind that are light for their size. Nautic Star also makes a 21 footer that is light but not their 22 footer.

Don’t go there.

Practical Tactical or Lew’s for BR area.
This isn’t the best time of the year to target trout around GI. The trout will be in transition to the marshes. I’m not saying you can’t get on them but trips can be very inconsistent when compared to summer, spring, and even winter trips.
Jiffy mix receipe but add diced jalapeños.
Exact same menu but Bailey’s was definitely better. They actually seasoned their chicken.

Get a wired one for the most power. I like the rapala heavy duty. I don’t like any of the cordless ones.

However the best cordless one is the Rapala R12. So if you must get cordless then that is the one I recommend.
The 5 gallon bucket would work. Also could do an assortment of gallon bags with water and fish inside of them. Put them in an ice chest and cover with ice. Take out a bag as needed when cooking.
I fish artificial 75% of the time however I have started bringing live bait with me on summertime trips as the water temperature elevates and the fish can get a little more resistant to the plastics. I have definitely had occurrences where the live bait makes a difference. On a trip this year they just wanted live croaker. About 5 boats began closing around us and apparently none of them had live bait as they weren’t catching all while creeping closer to us, like we had some kind of magic spot. We continued to catch until we had a limit. We tried throwing plastics but they wouldn’t touch em.

Non summer fishing I only use artificial.
I have no idea but I tried Gunpowder recently after hearing good reviews and was very disappointed. I didn’t find it anywhere near as good as swagat or bayleaf.
