re: OM fans in NOLA

Every Ole Miss fan i've ever met loves New Orleans. They do hate much of the rest of South Louisiana
Truth is anything beyond a 4 team playoff is overkill and even that didn't go well with lots of lopsided semifinal games. 1 G5 team should get in every year in a 12 team playoff. They aren't getting beat any worse than the other P4 teams.
The truth of the matter is you never need to go past 4 teams. If we are all being honest. The playoffs should Be Indiana, Georgia, Ohio State and Texas Tech and you could make the case that Ohio State should be out for losing to Indiana.
Yes 100%. Id much rather play for a chance to be in the actual playoff. Nobody talks about how everyone outside of the SEC and maybe 2 teams in the Big 10 and maybe 1 or 2 other teams are all in the same ballpark. If you just wanna make it an SEC plus Ohio st and Michigan and Notre Dame playoff every year that's fine. But don't bring the SEC and Big 12 bs this way. We dominated Duke for 3.5 quarters and they won the ACC Championship. There should be 1 G5 team automatic. The only reason there were 2 this year is bc the ACC is incredibly stupid and Notre Dame refuses to join a conference.
By the rules of the playoffs designed by the Big Conferences we 100% deserve to be in the Playoffs.
Just being honest here, but I don't understand how LSU fans rooting for us half heartedly from their couch against Ole Miss helps or hurts us. What you said is also kind of arrogant, we better be nice to LSU fans on a message board or they won't root for us. It's a ridiculous post that has nothing to do with anything. The truth of the matter is we had a bad process by a bad AD who failed to secure the top Candidate so for that we should be mad at Tulane and the AD. Being pissed off that an Alum passed on us to stay at LSU is a natural emotion and there are many tulane fans still alive who do remember the rivalry and probably still do hate LSU. Who gives a shite. Tulane botched the process, LSU outmaneuvered us to keep the guy we wanted. End of Story. Life of a Tulane fan goes on. Maybe God will smile on us one more time and let us knock off Ole Miss and go to the Sugar Bowl. Maybe we lose by 50. Either way I'll be in Oxford to find out.
It's the ACC fault for having a dumb tie breaker and Notre Dames fault for losing to Miami and refusing to join a conference so they by their own choice will never have a chance to get a Conference champion bid. If Miami would've beat Virginia in acc championship then JMU would be out and Notre Dame in. The ACC is stupid and Notre Dame wants to play by their own rules.
I'm just telling you why douchebag. Kiffin is a good coach, he's certainly not the best coach in America, but he was the best one available.
I think Kiffin tweeting about Baker during maybe our biggest moment in 50 years or more left a bad taste in a lot of mouths including my own. Let's be honest, Lane Kiffin leaves a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths and one day he will do the same to LSU. Hopefully he has won you a NC before he implodes and it will all been worth it.
Half the Student Body was in the Stadium. We actually have a great Home student section.
Every Head Coach with experience had to be a First Time head coach at some point. If we were going to go the Coordinator route I can't think of a better option that would be a better fit than Blake Baker. The alumni stuff matters but not as much as the fact that he's an excellent defensive coordinator at a Top 5 program in the biggest Conference in the country. Tulane has gone the hire a guy who will stay here route before and it's never worked for us. Tulane is currently focused on hiring the next best guy up and building the program through great hires to a point where we are able to hire Head Coaches we never could before. That's what is working for us right now and needs to be continued.
Trying to call out his team, they won 37-13 on the road after his comments. You have no context and sound like an idiot.
They utilize the single sex rules because they are single sex schools. Would it make you feel better if Brother Martin and Mt. Carmel combined for a new school with 2100 students?
You said it but you were wrong which is impressive to do. Do you think same sex schools shouldn't have their enrollment doubled when being classified alongside coed schools? That moronic. Both Jesuit and Brother Martin are both comfortably 5a as far as classification goes.
We don't need a 12 team tourney either. Just 4 teams should suffice. However, just like the NCAA Tourney in basketball having the automatic qualifier adds to the total College Football pot not takes away. It gives teams and more importantly their fans something to hope for and stay interested and invested in. There are a lot of college football fans and viewers who aren't primary fans of a P4 program. If you have 12 teams in the playoff, it makes more sense to give one of the berths to one of these teams.
I've heard for 2 years that Sumrall is more interested in Ole Miss than Auburn.

As a Tulane fan I can tell you they were completely unprepared for the 2 biggest games they played last year and they have been unprepared every week since the Duke 1st half. We have been winning very ugly all season.
The football coaches want to drop down that's a fact.
Holy Cross is in very bad shape currently. They have less than 400 kids in 9-12, the school is in dire Financial Straits, people are jumping off the ship left and right and their Football coaches desperately want to drop down.
We got the ball back with 23 seconds and 3 timeouts left at our own 30. We needed to push for a FG Attempt there.
He turned down Miss St. already. If it's not the upper tier SEC he's not going. He actually loves New Orleans, is paid well and has more support from the University and Alumni than any coach including Tommy Bowden. He will leave, but it will be for an Auburn, Ole Miss, LSU, Florida, etc. I really do not think he's interested in Kentucky.
