My understanding is that you are correct as far as entering the portal.
I read that the deadline to sign to a school is based on the Spring semester enrollment deadline by the college where they mutually agree to sign.. Otherwise, they would have to enroll in the summer semester.
Not sure what the deadline is for the LSU Spring Semester?

While the portal is closing today (1/16) for players opting to get IN the portal, except for IU and Miami, the players in the portal have longer to decide the school of their choosing. LSU is closing well and getting sufficient and high quality players of need, mainly QB, OL, WR, and RB.
I wish Ole Miss well, as friendly competition and sportsmanship is good.
You are happy that CLK left, we are happy to get him as the best available coach to improve our sorry offensive performance the last two years. :cheers:

I see no problem. I went to the Duke vs ASU Sun Bowl game yesterday. There were different college football shirts from probably 50 different schools represented. One from OM even, with a Heaux Lane Kiffin t-shirt. I respected his 1A right, no matter how wrong. I started to ask him if he had ever changed jobs, but he was so scared that he wouldn’t even look me in the face, after seeing my LSU gear & USMC hat. LOL

Yes, I’m sure fans are going to travel in sweltering 100 degree heat and humidity to watch in effect a sloppy preseason game in the outdoor stadiums (most bowl games).
The wife and I attended the 2019 LSU at UT-Austin game and, other than the great outcome, it was a 4 hour sauna experience.
Teams should be rewarded for what they accomplished that season!

As if Saban didn’t leverage his abilities to garner higher wages. He was so selfless! LOL
On the other hand, Kiffin was so very selfish that he allowed his offensive coaches to help OM throughout the playoffs! What did he get in return? Snarky remarks from that unkempt and ungrateful mophead. Did Kiffin retaliate and forbid his coaches from helping our OM friends against UGA? NO! You should sit this one out!
