Outside of Brown I’m not impressed at all with our portal additions. I understand the USF transfers they should help in mentoring our young roster. Our redshirt freshman and true sophomore class has got to be massive. I haven’t added up the totals but seems everyone is right there.

As Jville said, the fillers will be easy, there are over 1500 dangling in the portal without a home.

Way more 10,600 players are in the portal. There are 6,800 without a team yet. Granted these players can be from all levels of football but lots of players out there without a place to play. I’m sure many won’t find a place even with the extended roster space.
How can we judge any lineman that played under Thornton? Worst OL coach I have seen at the college level.

We couldn’t pass block when we needed to. We couldn’t run block when we needed to. We couldn’t convert in short yardage situations. Total failure of coaching.
Hallelujah. Need 1 more OL and 2 interior DL, and a minimum 1 legit Edge rusher and I’ll feel better about the roster. Obviously we have holes at other places but those a minimum requirements at this point
The weather anchors and actresses on Mexican soaps are the only things like I like from Mexico.

Muy Bonita.
We have all been saying it all year after 2-3 games in the season. It’s a flawed roster. It’s a bubble team. We will probably be teetering somewhere between 35-45 in the NET all season if we don’t just meltdown and Steven can keep them focused.

Our defense is still so bad

Board of Peace?

Posted by CorchJay on 1/14/26 at 12:21 pm
Have we discussed this and I missed it?

I know Trump is setting up the board for 10 Leaders to be on it but sounds like the UN and WEF will also have influence. Plus it doesn’t end once Gaza and the Palestinian situation is solved it will continue for world peace.

I know I could possibly be reaching but my Bible tells me this isn’t a good idea. Kings without kingdom.

Finley to Incarnte Word. Somehow his 7th school

Interestingly enough I think both his parents are highly educated if I’m remembering correctly. Like one parent a doctor and the other a scientist or something like that.

QB - A-
RB - B
TE - C-
OL - C-
WR - B-
None of these schools will leave the conference. What is their complaint anyway? To much money being made??

Bryson Washington is 6’ 216

So is Davenport. Both are 6’ 216 lbs
I’ll take 2 of them at 6’ 215. Especially if they can pass block as well
Probably close to done for now. I’d expect 6-8 more in the next few days or week. We still need depth on the line of scrimmages. I’d like to add a top tier edge rusher as well.

Then probably add 12-20 more after spring primarily “walkon” types just getting a scholarship for scout team purposes. If anyone pops up I’m sure we’d reach out.

He bears a passing resemblance for that fullback we had from bayou la batre in the tuberville days

Brandon Johnson. Down and dirty fullback

Nah, his top QB was Juju, then Deuce, then Longstreet.

Not true. Longstreet was the top QB on the board. Juju and KJ Lacey were about the same spot on the board. Hugh wasn’t willing to pay what their camps wanted. When Deuce was willing to listening he became the top priority after Longstreet solidified his commitment elsewhere. Obviously feelers were put out to others in the cycle in case everything went sideways.

I don’t know why you constantly talk about QB and backups. You never have a fricking clue what you are talking about and continue to lie in discussions about it to try to prove your point. I like you Jville but it’s old.

but are we still running the flex offense?

Yes. But a modified version.
As I said in his high school recruitment. Air Noland is very overrated. That team he played for was absolutely stacked. At 54 now I could throw left handed (I’m right handed) and won like he did.

I’m sure the kid can get better but QB bust in college is nothing new.

I was at home as well and frickin pissed Academy didn’t open after the game as advertised with the official gear for the championship. It had barely started snowing in Trussville.

I think Indiana has given coaches a new blueprint

Maybe. I would like to see lab results on blood test for their players. I’m not saying they are cheating but for their size they are very strong. They can go harder longer.

Just sayin.

I remember a little ol team in eastern Alabama in the 80’s that had been average for almost 30 years outside of a guy name Sullivan at QB that came out of nowhere to completely dominate the SEC and the nation for 7-8 years. I know they put in that hard work but I also know they were juiced. Same as another team that dominated with almost no “talent” that used the moniker “Husker Power”. Juiced up.
