Seems like I saw something about after he came back from the locker room and was checked out and cleared to play that he refused to go back in the game.

If SEC talent players need motivation from their coach to fight to stay locked into March Madness then they aren’t what we thought they were.

Anyway I’ll stop joking around. Looks like he aggravated an injury to his leg from earlier in the season. Then left the team today. Doesn’t say if he was kicked off or just left.

Whalen has the juice today. Electric stuff. Him and Hetzler should form a pretty solid closer role. Once tourney time comes around maybe they can be set up and closer and able to pitch each day. Just have to see how their arms hold up as it warms up

Prior to the game KenPom had us lower than the NET ranking. But KenPom and NET get very close towards the end of the year.
KenPom is very good in their offensive and defensive efficiency numbers. Just a tool bro. Nothing more nothing less.
The NET is the actual rankings the committee uses.

Hall and Murphy gone for sure. Magwood gone I would expect.
Pettiford either takes a massive pay cut to get more players or is asked to leave.
Overton possibly stays. I’d put it at 50/50
Freeman and Jovic probably stays. Gotta find a way to move Jovic to backup SWA. He needs to be a 3 but can’t shoot so probably the best hope is a post up 4. If he continues to improve his feet on defense he could cover the 3 on defense. Still a project 4 year type player. Freeman and SWA will make jumps after a full season. They are solid players but need to be more physical around the rim scoring.
So like I said luckily we are in rebuild mode again.

The talent on the team wasn’t near as good as I thought it was. Pettiford isn’t good as the QB of the team. Great 6th man change up type scorer. Hall terrible teammate. Murphy is ok for a backup big in conference but not big enough to play 35 minutes. SWA, Freeman, and Jovic to inexperienced. Overton about what I expected. Some games he was actually a better scorer from outside then I thought he would be but a worse defender then I thought. That’s definitely enough to swing a record 3-4 games. If they would have been better then I expect then 12-6 would have been a nice surprise.

I was wrong on some players I thought Oporum would develop some and Bashir could be an outside scorer. Magwood has all the talent is just a dumbass.
