People are referring to it as a 1.5/major expansion. From the little of bit of content I've seen, they are bringing a lot of new mechanics so it may feel brand new.

I play a day or two in game once or twice a week to just build money and material reserves to be ready to jump in head first lol.
Trailer

Searched and didn't see anything regarding this. Looks like it's going to be a pretty big expansion. ANyone else looking forward to it?
Crimson Desert looks really cool.

I'm really excited for the Dave the Diver expansion to hit too. I liked what I saw in the preview videos.
Saw you in a full squad last night when I hopped on.

Back to the fuggin incinerator corps now. Makes extraction even crazier now.
I agree for the MO it's better to do that, but I hope that they keep a planet like this after the story line, because as you said this is the most fun I've had with Helldivers in a long time.

I'll be playing later this evening so drop the code.
It's been an incredible update so far. The last two warbonds have added some awesome stratagems and weapons. The new maps are fun and chaotic. Makes those moments where you hit a flow state and somehow manage to stay alive feel real nice.
Not sure how many people are still on it, but fairly big update hit.

Tons of new warbonds with fun equipment. Stealth builds with C4, Tank builds with hammer that has an explosive charge on the end. Finally launched tanks as a stratagem.

Big story is going into the invasion of the Automaton planet Cyberstan. Hoping this will be just as hectic/fun as storming the hive world for the terminids. Launched some new mission types which added some fresh air too. Game is in a really fun spot imo.

It was such a fun addition to Dave the Diver. Great to find out there's a mobile version.

That's disappointing. Really liked the DLC in GoT

Finished it yesterday. Also had a ton of fun. Enjoyed the upped the difficulty. Would have like the story to be a little deeper - felt slightly rushed, and would have liked the side quests to be a little more aligned to the main story.

Definitely will give it a NG+ spin when available.
A bit of a sidebar: but recommend any good books on the topic? Or Grant's presidency and reconstruction in general?

This Takezo Duel. Holy shite that got tough. Maybe it's because I'm using the Bounty Armor, but combat is tougher than GoT

The main story progression and "level" progression does feel slow/non important. I liked in the GoT that the main story and the individual side stories had icons that were significant on the map, not just a small gingko leaf logo. Combat is more difficult, but I am enjoying it. Dual Katanas are awesome.

After hearing Jin's english voice compared to his Japanese voice, it was a no brainer to go Japanese with subs for me.

I agree. The story in 3 sucked but the gameplay was still really good to me. This has both and actually did multiplayer for the first time on any BL and it was fun. It's a good predicament to have choosing between this, Yotei, and Helldivers. Good gaming time for me.

Do we throw a spoiler tag on this thread? There's a couple things in the story that already has me intrigued

Only got through the tutorial and have to agree that it's beautiful. That open view to the mountain, and the first field you see that just a sea of purple. Really excited to get some more time into this one and BL4

I was watching someone on Twitch last night and those cave systems look like a nightmare

They are/were. Only complaint was it felt they didn't play test the burrowing bugs enough. Those bastards forced you to have explosive weapons at all times. Storming caves in groups of 4 all with mechs is a blast. Hopefully they balance it out just a touch after the 5 weeks sans burrowing bugs. Also the maps with Hive Lords AND Dragonroaches were just rude haha. Constantly resupplying any and all rocket launchers.

Agree with you. Trying to talk my friends into getting it. It's still fun, but something feels off for me. I am not a fan of the UI at all, really enjoyed how BL3 presented the weapons (both on ground and in menus). I'm enjoying that some fights are more difficult in general - hacking the propaganda machine was a little tough.
Just saw Mosquera is flying out to Singapore to join the team.

This Gyokeres transfer sure is one strange roller coaster.
