Comparing a kid receiving NIL money to tax incentives to lure businesses to your community and state is one of the worst analogies I have yet to see. I knew it was a bad idea to take analogies out of the SAT years ago when they dumbed it down.
A kid buys alcohol, eats, goes to bars to drink, buys necklaces and earrings for himself, and an expensive car.
Businesses invest in plant and equipment to produce products that will be sold in a free market economy. The plants will hire workers who will pay taxes to the state and local governments. Those employees will also generate additional jobs and taxes through the multiplier effect.
So no comparison.

Ridiculous. Exempting privileged highly compensated athletes without doing the same for same age workers is unacceptable. Life isn’t fair, but this is simply poor public policy.
