With, just, a decent lawyer, that's fairly standard in Nevada for a DUI not resulting in serious injury or death. You still have to complete all of the requirements: fine, classes, panel, blowing device, and license suspension, but it will show up as a reckless on your record. I dated a woman that blew over 2.5x the limit, she paid total for everything around 10K and did not receive a DUI conviction.
You can also get your traffic tickets lowered to parking violations with no points. There are lawyer offices that only handle traffic violations. It's big business.

Indeed! Both administrations hate sports. We had Sandy Barbour, who tried to do everything she could to run the athletic programs into the ground.
Including, allowing the baseball team to fold, had it not been saved through donations, and continually running a yearly deficit in the athletic budget.

Both schools would rather focus on academics.

I doubt it. Ole Miss put up points on an overrated Florida team and a bad Kentucky team. I'd take Lane Kiffin in the match-up vs Golding, but I believe that it will be Bama by 4 touchdowns and Ole Miss does not hit 30 points, again.

The administration seems hell bent on pushing that team to mediocrity. USC is the best job in the PAC-12, and it's not close.
Nebraska is a great place, but relying on what worked 20 - 30 years ago is killing that program. I remember going on my visit, they were the first to use field turf in their facilities, plus they were years ahead of other schools with their nutrition and exercise physiology programs.

So? What is your point? Are you looking for an energy debate? I don't work in that realm, nor do I care. When I need lights, I press the switch. If it's hot, I turn on the air conditioner. If it makes you feel better, I have rental property with solar panels.
From what I know, power companies in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico have sent out these types of advisories, especially, during heat waves. I should have stated Southwestern US. Either way, it will not influence my view of California.

It's more of a nuisance. I was in Santa Cruz, last year, when PG&E started the blackouts. It's more due to their failing and antiquated infrastructure than it is to prevent the fires. Plus, it typically only affects the rural areas. I went to meet some people in an area named Santana Row in Silicon Valley, which has their own power grid, and it was life, as usual.

That's in spite of everything that you stated. California is, also, a much larger state with more major cities, 40 million people, closer proxmity to JAPAC for international business, more natural resources, more major corporations, and numerous top 100 universities that send graduates into society to create economic gains. Look at just a few of the industries in California: maritime, film oil, agriculture, banking, IT, mining, and the list goes on. That's the difference, economically.

I agree. Based on historical perspective, the parties have changed, but if we're being realistic, most black people identify as conservative or moderate. Polls have shown that it is almost 70% combined. The truth is that most black people are Democrat because of societal pressures, not because the Democrat party has been a beacon of light for hope and justice. I'm neither Republican or Democrat, but my views are, certainly, not Liberal, yet, my friends that share my beliefs and values vote Democrat because that is what they believe they are supposed to do.

That's what makes this a difficult subject to grasp. The nurture vs nature debate is not always the answer. My parents split, and because of my father's continual TDYs, and despite her history of drug abuse and fraud we were sent to live with our mother in the projects. We lived with her for three years before our father took us, permanently. We were each given an exemplary example of what a great parent does to support his family and community. However, all four of my brothers have been to federal and/or state prison. I don't believe that any of us were shown any more love or attention than the others, it was just a conscious decision that each of us made to follow our own paths. Three of those brothers are still losers, while my younger brother, since being released, is taking care of his children and has become a positive affirmation of what adequate use of the prison education programs, the prison trade programs, and community support can do to lessen recidivism.
