The goal posts of their indignation and rationalizing arguments will have to be torn down and walked out of the stadium and rebuilt in Brenham on the Blue Bell campus grounds, because their argument will be "it's not a real CFP championship because you had a $30-40mm payroll and we only had a $10mm".

Agree about this. It's crazy to me actually. Arkansas is the only deep south school in the Lousiana/Alabama/Mississippi corridor who can actually compete with a view to modernity.

There was a good thread from 9/7 earlier in the season when I asked an honest question and got a lot of honest answers from OM fans. Would be cool to revist those. I go to bump it and it's locked.

Right. That is why I said he "cost" them the game, implying as it played out.
It was also a bit of a "wow, he's a mere mortal like us" moment as he's been absolutely amazing. I have no doubt he will continue to be an elite kicker and do well in the NFL, etc.
The point is that, if OM could have had the automatic robotron kicker bot that they have had in the other playoff games, they likely win this game as it played out.
