So who invited Gishlane as their “plus one”??
Do the children of former presidents send an invitation with a “plus one” extended? I would think that security would be so tight that each guest would be subjected to some sort of security screening process.

Thank you so much for posting that info, I really do appreciate the effort, but the prices for August are insanely higher. I don’t have an option to go at a different time bc I’m hooking this trip onto a family wedding in Copenhagen.
I will be traveling alone and, I guess I should mention I identify as a female and my husband is 1000000% against it, so I’m trying to be as safe as possible.

No rooms there, and no, nothing for $300/night. Cheapest I saw was 800,900 and those were shared bathrooms. Sorry, not sharing a bathroom.
A guide I used for Rim to Rim suggested a guide in Reykjavik. Looks like he’s got some good day hikes, which is what I’m looking for. I’ve reached out to him about a recomendation for a VRBO or
Airbnb. It worries me that they are so inexpensive compared to hotels. I don’t want to get scammed, get there and have nowhere to stay. I’m not much of a traveler, only been to Europe once and that was as a chaperone on a HS trip to London and Paris.
I’ve always wanted to go to Iceland and this is my chance, so…

Nope. US dollars. 305,000 Icelandic krona. The cheapest hotel I saw, which looks like a Red Roof Inn was $900/ night. Granted, August is peak season.

I’ve always wanted to hike in Iceland; I have to go to Denmark in August so I thought I’d combine the two. A flight from Denmark to Reyhavik (sp) and back is super cheap, but the hotel rooms in Iceland are insanely expensive. Average hotel runs $2500 per night. VRBO’s are a fraction of that cost, but I’m wary of a rental in a foreign country.
I’m traveling solo. Any suggestions?

I don’t recall much, if any, investigation into his death. Didn’t he die at someone’s hunting camp???
Edit: If I remember correctly, the coroner declared him dead from natural causes without ever seeing his body or the site where he died. I don’t think there was an autopsy.
