Wade also kind of left it in shambles when he was fired the first time. That's how it works.

early reports from "guys that called it" last year appear that Bain & Delane are high on the Saints board. So, if they have those 2 guys in the group with your 5 guys; there is absolutely no reason to move up.
If the Saints have Bain and Delane in the same class as Styles, Reese, Downs, et al. then they should absolutely stay at 8 and pick one of them. I, however, do not believe they are in the same class, and I am an NFL draft expert. Please do not ask for my qualifications.

I feel like no matter what happens in front of us, we’ll get a great player.
I'm not sure I agree. I think there is a drop-off after Reese, Styles, Downs, Bailey, and Love. These are the players most likely to be among the best at their positions in the next year or two.

Bain, Delane, Tate, Tyson, etc. certainly could turn out to be elite, but are more likely to just be solid starters. Nothing wrong with a solid starter, but if I'm picking in the top 10, I want elite.

Instead of next years 1st, Todd has the Saints giving up this year's and next year's 2nd rounders to move up to pick 3 for Reese.
With no QBs or generational talents at edge or OT available, I think the price to move up within the top 10 will be significantly less than most years. I wouldn't be surprised if the Saints could move from 8 to 3 for just our 2nd round pick. The Cardinals need a right tackle and may draft one at 3 anyway - why not move back to 8, get the same RT plus another starter with our 2nd round pick? Cleveland also needs OL and would like to move back, though a move from 6 to 8 for a 4th or something may not be worth their while. Maybe we could throw Cesar Ruiz at them.

Besides, moving up would require giving up a 2027 first
Moving from pick 8 to pick 5 would only take a 3rd round pick, especially when there it's not for a QB.

That would be unreasonable.

Um.

Almost all the mock drafts coming in this week have zero OL being drafted before pick 8. Reese, Bailey, Styles, Downs, Love, and Tate are all likely to be gone by the Saints pick. This'll most likely leave Bain, Delane, or Tyson to pick from. Would you give our 3rd round pick to move from 8 to 5 for Styles or Downs or Love? None of those will be there at 8.

undersized in the NFL where offensive tackles are bigger, longer and more athletic. Not being able to bend and detach from lengthier offensive tackles is a legitimate concern
Didn't everyone say Bain's "bend" was incredible at his workouts and on film? Did I imagine that?

Also, Gunn’s Superman made less than Synder’s Superman. Far less.
Not adjusted for inflation.
Every recent Marvel movie has made less than their movies from the Man of Steel era too. The superhero movie boom is over. They can still make money, but Captain Marvel would not automatically get a billion dollars now like it did in 2019. Comparing a 2025 superhero release to Man of Steel released in 2013 is apples to oranges. I'm old enough to remember Man of Steel only grossing $670 million being a huge disappointment (Iron Man 3 made $1.3 billion the same year).

spent more with terrible results from McMahon
Did we? Pretty sure we were near bottom of SEC for roster spending and coach salary with MM.

I imagine they'd steer clear of anything not proven as to avoid getting sued into oblivion by his estate.
This movie is being made with his estate. So don't expect to see anything that makes Michael look bad. I, for one, think he was a total weirdo with a Peter Pan complex, but don't buy the molestation allegations which came off as money/attention grabs. Way too many other kids like Corey Feldman (who has accused others in Hollywood) defended him.

Reese, Styles, Bain, Downs, Bailey, Delane, Love, and Tate
I'm happy with anyone on this list. I'll worry a bit whether Bain is a risk, or whether Tate can live up to being a top 10 pick, but I'll understand the pick and won't be upset. Will be mad if we pick anyone else at 8
I keep seeing mock drafts with both Styles and Downs available at 8. I'd have a hard time choosing between the two.
Never believe the claims in these lawsuits - everything is exaggerated to make the hospital or doctor seem as negligent as possible. The lawyer will say anything to get the hospital to settle and avoid bad publicity. Newspapers love the clicks these claims get, but never report the results of the suits (which are mostly thrown out).

I agree, and the Trailsport model looks good. Also has a legit V-6 engine. Maybe not as much of an off-road vehicle, but is she really going to be trail riding?

No WR Chris Bell? That's been the chalk pick for weeks, Tyler's boy from Louisville.

Ritchson deserved even more damage to his bike by picking it up by the throttle and shows that he probably doesn't need to be driving a motorcycle.
Maybe he's learning? Could've bought the bikes to have something to do with his kids? Everyone has to learn sometime, maybe they're cruising the neighborhood to get practice. On the gopro video he clearly wasn't speeding and it seems Ritchson had to smack the guy a couple times to keep him from getting in the way again just so they could leave. I'd want to get my kids away from a nut like that as well.
All I get from these game logs is that those regular season ACC and Big 12 schedules are trash. How do you interpret 5 sacks against Kansas and Houston? Wish these players were doing this in the SEC or Big 10. At least we got to see Bain abuse A&M in the playoff, and Bailey looked good against Oregon, but would've liked more games against elite competition.
