Orvis is close in quality and fit, but I always grab a Poncho these days.

I think that’s a thing of the past. With their store closures I hear they’re about to start outsourcing. It was a good ride

Crow Reservation in Montana. I’ve been all over and have never caught bigger trout anywhere else.

This. You get the advantage of seeing how trashy a single group of people can be while also fishing dam controlled waters. Really a great time.

ETA. I’d avoid the Madison in peak season. It can get quite crowded but arguably worth it during the salmon fly hatch. There’s some private stuff by the Ruby that’s really awesome further west. If you want to keep going west the bitterroot has some good dry fly action

Those flyway federation fools would tell you it’s because of heaters and flooded corn

Every pickle sniffer with a TikTok account is out at night flexing with their piles? Fish get caught on a rod and reel during the day, then shot at when the sun goes down. These same trash balls will shoot undersized fish and pretend it didn’t happen.

Biloxi marsh is taking a beating.

About time

Small handful Saturday morning. 4 man Sunday evening in SWLA. Reports have stayed pretty spotty
A300 20 ga. Not sure what they go for now but got a couple for $800 a few years ago.

ETA. Agreed with all the non 12 gauge thoughts. I have 8 cases of 12 ga shells I counted yesterday which really annoys me. I haven’t shot my 12 in years and need to work through that stack somehow.
Mr. D’s is great. Also had a good experience with Creels

Offer cash, some will give you a solid discount.

ETA. Wait until late winter when the leaves have dropped. May be able to save some money when they’re slow and it’s easier to cut
Find a used z7 body now that the z7ii is out. 70-200. You’ll have enough mp to crop down.
Dr. Heintz at Dutchtown. We drive extra for that group, they’ve done a great job with our hounds.
I got you.

Hopefully they stock biloxi marsh so the bow fishing turds have some more undersized fish to kill

I just wish the fight would go back to bow fishing. The 6/3 WLFC meeting commentary was about as expected
You should pick up duck hunting on public land. Much more graceful bunch
I hope you have better luck than I did with turkeys
Off the path a little, but drive down to Hardin and go towards the Bighorn in Fort Smith. Any of the launches down from the dam will have fish.

ETA. Never mind you’re way further west than I thought
