Does anyone know the dimensions of the actual MBA degree?

I know I will not receive the physical degree until about a month but I am trying to order degree frame & just wanted to know the dimensions.

Thank you

Hi All,

I will be finished with my last course on August 21st & I am wondering how long it will take to receive my degree in the mail?

Has anyone taken MKT 720: Hospitality Analytics? This is a fairly new course with professor Kim Minsun.
Just wondering what the workload is like a week? Quizzes? Papers? Discussion questions?

ConsciousGal sorry, I thought originally you were asking about ISDS 710, which I took with M. Darrat.

No problem at all. I also took ISDS 710 last year & enjoyed it too.

I do know someone who took MKT715 this term and had nothing but good things to say about it.

Oh really? From the email I received in November, they said, "MKT 715 will start in Spring AP2." meaning this AP2 from March to April. Also, MKT 715 is not on the AP1 class list. Maybe that class they were referring to was another one? This class also used to be BADM 790-MA & I think it used to be on the class list as that name a year or so back?

MKT 715: Advanced Marketing Analytics is my last class in the online program coming up in March & I was wondering if anyone has taken this class? It used to be BADM 790-MA.

The professor teaching this one will be Mohamad Darrat.

Any insight on what kind of assignments, exams, projects there are would be helpful

Any advice on the above course? I see that some of the topics are R, Data Visualization, Data Wrangling, etc.

Take the new DA class, I think it's FIN 740? As weird as it may seem that it would be under FIN (it has nothing to do with Finance), the class actually teaches the basics of the "R" programming language. In my reviews, it's probably very close to the first half of the ISDS 710 class I took. It can be challenging but at the very least will provide you with an actual, legitimate analytics related skill.

I am actually thinking about taking this class for my last class on March 9th with Kim Sung. It is between this one & MKT 715: Advanced Marketing Analytics.

Has anyone taken this class? What are the assignments? Exams? I know it incorporates R but is this class project based? Are there Discussion Questions? I am just not the greatest at math so that is where my worry comes in :dunno:

Yes, I had Erin McLaughlin for MADM 760.
My academic coach said the same thing about taking 2 classes & was surprised when I completed all 8 of them with B's or better :rotflmao: They just say that because they are aware that a lot of people can not handle it with family, work, etc.
No problem at all. You can do this! :) :geauxtigers:

It depends on who your professors are for both of these courses but MADM 701 consisted of 7 current event papers, 7 exams & 4 discussion questions. MKT 701 consisted of 7 discussion questions, 3 case study write ups & 3 exams.

To me, these courses taken together were not as time consuming as I initially thought they would be. On week 1, I focused on the 1st current event paper from MADM 701, the exam & the 1st discussion question in MKT 701. It was like 1 class all together with the amount of work I did each week. I also was travelling during 1 week & did not fall behind at all. I think it all depends on how you are with completing your work. I usually do all my assignments/exams early in the week to avoid procrastination. A little bit about me: I have a flexible full time job at a well known IT company in the bay area (I can do assignments in the office, take exams, etc.), I travel at least 6 times a year for work conferences & fun :) & I have no kids so what worked for me may not work for you but if you stay focused, you can complete both of those classes without them being too "time consuming" for you.
I received an A & a B in both of these classes respectively so in the end, it all really does depend on you. I have been taking 2 classes each session since I started in May of this year & I have earned 4 A's & 4 B's in all 8 of the classes I have taken so far. I have my last 2 classes left in Spring session 1 & then I will be graduating in May 2020 :geauxtigers:

Nice. Any more info on Kim? Haven't seen much about him on here. Any group work? Weekly exams and discussion boards? Still debating which instructor to try to take for MADM

For Minsun Kim, there are 7 Module exams, 6 application assignments, 6 case analysis forums(discussion posts with 2 responses to other classmates), a final exam & an introduction video for extra credit. This may seem like a lot of work but to me, juggling it with my other class at the time (ACCT 701 with Yin) was not hard. She was responsive to emails as well as her helpful teacher aides who graded our assignments.

Hi All, I just got accepted into the online MBA program :) & I just registered for my classes.

In the 1st session of Summer, I am taking:
ACCT 701 - with Yin,Yuan
AND MADM 760 - with Kim,Minsun

In summer session 2, I am taking:
Fin 701 - with Choi, Daewong(Joey)
AND ISDS 705 - with Lin, Binshan

For those of you who have taken these classes recently with these professors, would it be okay doubling this up like I am planning to do? I have done some research through this forum but I just wanted to ask just in case I may have missed something.

Thank you! :)

I just wanted to provide an update on the above classes as I just completed them this past summer semester. I was able to complete all of these courses while working full time & I NEVER felt like I wanted to pull all of my hair out, once LOL. They were very manageable for me to complete each week & I personally never felt like the load was unreasonable for me. Mind you, I am a organized person who likes to complete her work early on to get it out of the way. In my 1st 2 courses that I took together, I earned A's in both. In my last 2 this summer, I earned an A & a B. I truly feel like it was not a very heavy load for me at all. Just know that there is some kind of writing each & every week (besides ISDS 705 with Lin that only consists of 3 exams). I personally do not mind writing & the assignments were not hard in my opinion but you do have to do research & use your brain :)
I will continue to double up for my next 2 semesters so I can graduate next May :)

Hi, I have taken Fin 701 with Choi, not Fin 730 but there were only 3 exams, 2 case studies and 5 discussion questions. In my opinion, there was not a lot of writing and there were 20 questions on each exam, multiple choice and true false.

I am wondering if anyone can offer me insight about MADM 701 with Erin Mclaughlin & MKT 701 with Aadel Darrat.

I am taking both of these classes in Fall AP1 & I just want to know what the work load is like, what assignments are there in each class, etc.

Thank you

ISDS 705 with Lin is a good class to double up with. There are only 3 exams & that will make your final grade. He was quick to respond to my emails as well.

I have not taken Fin 730 with Choi but Fin 701 with Choi is a good class to double up with in my opinion too. There are 3 exams, 2 case studies & 5 discussion questions (with 1 response to a classmate for each).

I am taking both of these classes right now & I like both of the professors. I will be finishing both a week early too :)

Hi All,

Has anyone taken Fadi Fawaz for Econ 705?

If so, how is the course workload, especially if taken with another course?

What are the weekly assignments due? & how many tests are there? Are they open notes & proctored?

Thank you!
