Fedora is saying that it has NOTHING to do with clearinghouse issues.

Something happened, but they aren't saying what...

Is that Lee Fedora related to Larry Fedora?

Yes, they are brothers.
He's going to OSU... signed, sealed, delivered... i'd put my life on it...

Something went very very wrong when he went to Baton Rouge. I'm not going to speculate what exactly it was, but it wasn't just clearinghouse issues or he wouldn't be able to get into OSU or anywhere else.
no way he gets fired... Texas will find a way to get this dismissed and swept under the rug.
joining the ranks of Billy Gillispie and Tom Penders!

OUCH!

I wanted a good laugh so I just went over to Texags..there are still Loston threads popping up on their recruiting board. Sweet Jesus, give it up.

I don't claim Texags!! The retards of our fanbase.... I stick to scout and rivals.
Thanks for the info... I thought it was extremely odd that he'd drop ship when he was planning on enrolling in January.

And yes, to the guy laughing at us being full, A&M is full at 27 commits, so unless he was going to grayshirt, he would not be able to come right away, and we have 2 runningbacks committed, not to mention FR Cyrus Gray and SO Bradley Stephens on the roster.
There is a rumor on a couple of A&M boards that Tiger commit Dexter Pratt has left LSU all of the sudden and won't be going forward with LSU. The reason I tend to believe this is its coming from a poster inside the Navasota coaching community.

I'm not here to stir the pot, but I didn't see a thread on DP and was curious if anyone had heard anything????

Rumor has it that he's going to choose between A&M (his teammate is committed to us, but I'm not sure we have room) and Southern Miss (Coach Fedora's brother is the head coach at Navasota).

Best of luck this offseason, and here's to the Tigers reclaiming the SEC next year!
The Eagles played shitty when Westbrook was out.

They just have the capability to play extremely well!
in the same year?

Not a favorite, but I can see this Eagles team pulling a Giant-style run through the playoffs.

The entire city would burn down.

I know fbaggie (went to college with him)... he trolls our board on a regular basis and it can get funny. Here is the proof.

Welcome to TexAgs -- beware of the stupidity!

It's not like yall dont have the space to fit that many on campus.....you can walk for days on that damn campus. Now, why you don't have the numbers, I have no idea.....

We don't have the parking lots (there's a waiting list for football parking on campus) and they won't let you park on greenspaces. A lot of places on campus you have to drop your shite off in the parks, and grassy areas and then go park a mile away or in the neighborhoods.

Because Texas has UT and A&M. Louisiana has LSU.

... and Tech, OU (LOTS OF ALUMS)...
are there any schools that compare numbers wise? I mean, we can only fit 70-80K tailgaters on campus (120K people for Texas last year), but gawl damn you guys can fit 200K+ for the big games, like Florida and Auburn last year.

I'll be down for UGA, so I hope its a night game.

think they're a military academy and wear those ridiculous General Patton pants!!

You do realize that the corps band/rotc is 1500 kids out of 47000 students. We're hardly pretending to be a military academy. I know they're easy to make fun of... hell most of us make fun of 'em too, but they just happen to be the band which is a part of the stadium that gets shown a lot on gamedays. It is what it is.

I know we'd get our asses handed to us this year and probably the next couple of years, but if you remember LSU didn't stand much of a chance against A&M in the 90s. Times change, cycles happen and things could be much different 10 years from now... or not, but we'll see what Sherman can do for us.

If anything, we should just set up a tailgating showdown and drink each other shitty.
you can thank Joe Dean for backing out of this series.... That guy was a crooked bitch.

I love the series and want it to come back.
Craig has been on campus 3 times in the past 2 months, and Craig's best friend (Rod Davis) signed with A&M in the 08 class.

We may or may not have a good chance... 17 year old kids are fickle. However, to say we don't have a chance is foolish.
Actually, thats not true. I'd love a home-home with LSU to start out the year.

Instead, we are stuck with Arkie for the next 10 years. Should redevelop into a nice rivalry from the SWC days. It just sucks we have to play at Jerry's World.

If I could iron out the details with LSU's new AD, I'd do it tomorrow. I subscribe to the theory that you have to beat the best to be the best.
You guys won in '90 and we won from 91-95. In the 80s we flipped flopped years a lot. We won 89, you guys won 87-88, I believe we won 85-86.

And yes, despite the fact that you guys would beat our arse right now, I want the rivalry to come back. Nothing like starting off the year in game 1 against the Tigers. Good times!
I agree Cash. However, when you can establish ties in neighboring states, it doesn't hurt.

And for the record, Jonathan Stewart was the best LB on the board that we were recruiting... including the kids from Texas.
I think there are a couple that got a little too excited, but I don't think anyone over there thinks we are "outrecruiting" LSU.

If anything, we're happy to reopen a Louisiana connection that we had throughout the late 80s and 90s. Louisiana has a deep talent pool this year. I believe Jonathan Stewart and Patrick Lewis will be great players in college.

Best of luck this upcoming season.
I'll try to answer this in an unbiased manner...

Tech CAN beat anyone and they can beat anyone convincingly.

The problem with Tech is that they are a shite road team. They will beat God at home one week, and then go lose to shite arse Iowa State the next week on the road. It has been that way for the past 5 years.

You can always count on them losing 2-3 road games that they would win if they were playing in Lubbock.

It wouldn't surprise me to see them go 10-2.. I think 11-1 is a very small possibility. However, it wouldn't surprise me to seem do their typical 8-4, 7-5 campaign either.

Jones Stadium is a decent homefield advantage when playing A&M, Texas or OU. But then you'll have a team like Colorado or Kansas come in there and beat their arse in Jones. Tech is just a different team when they can play on their turf (they play on astroturf). The crowd really isn't much of a difference at all.

I'm not saying he isn't fast, but his 4.48 listed time has been debunked.

Michael has consistently clocked in the 4.4 range. Pratt clocked a 4.65, and a 4.6 on grass recently.

He's fast, no doubt, but compared to Lacy, Ford, Richardson and Michael, he's a step behind.

I'd love to have Pratt at A&M, but he simply is not as good as Michael. If LSU gets Michael, you'll see why. Michael will be in front of him on the RB depth chart IMO.

And yes, I agree with you about Richardson.

re: Christine Michael

there's a reason why Texas and A&M were recruiting Pratt as a LB and Michael as a RB.

Pratt is a good RB no doubt... but the argument of Pratt v. Michael in regards to who's the better RB is Michael 100%.

Not only is Michael faster, more compact and shiftier.... Michael plays in a MUCH TOUGHER DISTRICT, and competes against other D1 players. Navasota's district is weak as shite.

Pratt is a great athlete, but he was the #3-4 RB on Texas/A&M's list. He runs way too straight up, and he's not all that fast for a RB. He reminds me of Henry Melton in terms of a RB... he's better suited on the defensive side.

ummm... scout does agree with me... I said that Richardson was better IMO, but Michael IS the best RB in this recruiting class.

You can form your own opinion, but most of us on this side of the border agree on Michael.

says most of the big time recruitniks in Texas.

Its across the board agreed that CM is #1 in this Texas RB class.
I agree that Richardson is better, but it isn't by much.

Richardson has more to his repertoire. Michael just likes punishing, but he has legit 4.4 speed.
Michael is one of those pissed off I backs that can run north/south too.

Richardson is probably a tad more shifty, but Michael gets the tough yards, and can still make D Backs look stupid on angles.

He is the best RB in Texas, period. Whaley and Pratt are good RBs, but Michael has a different gear than those two, and has the size too.

He has a good relationship with our staff, which helps, but frankly... right now LSU > A&M.

At least his high school coach is an Aggie.

I don't know about that. We are stacked at RB for the next 4 years, as is LSU.

It will come down to where he feels most comfortable. Unfortunately for us, the recent MNCs LSU has are a huge selling point.

Should be a tight race.
