Matt Flynn was pointing out some weaknesses of PFF grades yesterday. He was saying you can grade the physical aspect of football players but unless you know the assignments, coverages, route or blocking concepts and what coaches are teaching, the mental aspect, like missed assignments, is at best guesswork.

Who’s Ross?

Sorry for my ignorance but this shite moves so fast it’s hard to keep up

Edited: nevermind Jordan Ross the edge rusher from UT.
I’m no lawyer but that smells like bullshite.

1. I doubt the House settlement said anything about a new school’s revenue share being reduced.

2. How can a Big 10 school dictate another’s schools revenue share? Even with a said contract it’s likely easily fixed by new school’s outside the Big 10. See Miami and Wisconsin case. And with this not being NCAA bylaws and actually circumventing NCAA bylaws about transferring and 2 separate conferences likely, no one to enforce this until a judge would rule on it.

Am I interpreting this wrong? Probably so, just my uneducated thoughts.

Edited to add if rumors of Williams and Fisch sharing an agent a good lawyer could tear this contract to shreds in court I’d assume.

2nd edit. AI agreed Big 10 team could not enforce SEC or any other conference to reduce revenue share, and no enforcement mechanism as NCAA has no rules on such. So frick Ross Dellenger for this bullshite tweet.

tech more than 2 million more. LSU was never winning that battle.

He signed for 5 million. All we know from Delly’s tweet is that MMR was going to pay him 3.5 million, we have no idea what his revenue share from LSU was going to be. It very well could have been a total of 5 million too.

He may not be happy but he's not going to be willing to sit out a year.

He can just withdraw from Washington and enroll at LSU and play for LSU. UW could sue but it would be for monetary purposes not eligibility purposes. The NCAA won’t get involved so there would be no backlash from them on LSU’s end.

Now, how they work his NIL deal is what’s tricky it seems due to the UW contract. But LSU has lawyers to work that out to.

One service said he was a 5 star player, another (probably more) disagreed.

The others had him rated as a high 4 star I believe. He was a very highly touted recruit at the time.

No, pull our coaches and tell ole miss to f off.

This is the answer. We had our interim head coach going to Ole Miss with all kinds of rumors surrounding him and Harlem Berry. No tampering claims out of LSU.

They want to start this tampering case, pull all the coaches helping them in playoffs and blame the Ole Miss AD. Say LSU is protecting themselves in light of the Ole Miss allegations. Let’s see how they do vs that Miami defense without Charlie Weiss, and Lane Kiffin because let’s be honest, Kiffin was likely talking to Weiss during the game prep on how to attack Georgia.

Pretty sure the NCAA changed some rules regarding NIL. Can’t just pay a backup qb half a million anymore. Each deal over $600 goes thru a vetting process to make sure it’s the players actual value. How they are going to do that who knows, but I think some of these guys jumping in may be in for rude awakening.
We threw 2 WR middle screens in a row. Both were successful

He just “resigned” with USC. They put out a tweet yesterday celebrating it.

Resigned = quit or stepped down
Re-signed = signed again

Sorry, not trying to be an arse but you had me googling why Stewart quit at USC, and wondering why he didn’t just enter the portal

No drama, scandals etc.

Ummm he was named in a lawsuit against LSU, albeit a failed one.

Edited to delete bad ai info
I think with a scheme more suited to downhill running attack and better blocking he can still be a good back. I’m not judging any offensive player off Joe Sloan’s scheme and playcalling.
Have no idea why he’s transferring but have seen him post on social media about struggling with depression I believe. May want a fresh start somewhere.

I wouldn’t post that if he didn’t already put it out there.

Edited to add best of luck to the young man.
Wasn’t that the whole point of him not playing the bowl game so Kirkland had to qb?

If Shaq would have had the mental focus to take care of his body like Kobe Bryant he'd have been the GOAT.

I see people always bring up something similar to this usually stemming from Kobe’s quote about Shaq but the truth is not many people at all had the obsession with basketball Kobe did. He lived, ate and slept basketball. Even the goat Jordan didn’t have Kobe’s obsession as he had other hobbies (golf, gambling and business). Shaq was still arguablythe most dominant player ever in the nba. 13 year’s averaging over 20 points and 10 rebounds. He did fine
The only way I see Peoples going to Tulane is if it’s a DC position. Even if Lane doesn’t have room for him other bigger schools than Tulane will come calling. Maybe even the same for Olsen.
Unless Peoples isn’t wanted by the new staff or he is getting promoted to DC why would he leave?
So they don’t have an OC yet but hiring a rb coach first? Seems backwards.,

I believe analysts can coach on the field now so make a new title up as running game analyst and recruiting coordinator that keeps Franks pay high and allow him to assist on the field coaching.

Sometimes relationships still matters whether you agree with it or not. Frank is thought highly of by these players and their families. .

True but let’s be honest, for the majority it’s about $ now days and not relationships. Not saying that’s wrong or even the case with these 2, just an observation of the current landscape.
