So this guy did exactly what you want by excelling at a small school, but that's still not enough to not bring in another transfer starter? I'm confused at what you want. Clark with starter experience +1 year in Kiffin's system, 5 star prospect transfer Longstreet with +1 year in Kiffin's system, and Elite 11 star freshman Houston is a dream QB room in NIL times in my opinion.

I don't dislike any of the guys in LSU's QB room. I also love the fact that Landon Clark has experience. I don't care if it's at Elon.

The point I'm attempting to make is that if LSU can sign an elite transfer portal QB, then they are going to do it.

Miami and Oregon are two programs that are not in the business of developing inexperienced QBs. They go take one from another program every year.

Now we have Texas Tech in the game with their billionaire buying up players as well - Sorsby the most notable.

Maybe if it gets too expensive to buy a QB, then LSU will roll with who they have in the QB room. Having said that, I don't believe they want to. If Kiffin can go get a Brendon Sorsby or Sam Leavitt, then he's going to do it - or at least try to.

Arch Manning is a unicorn. A guy coming from a family that tells him to stick it out and wait his turn is rare. In his case, it works because his last name is Manning. Another QB whose last name isn't Manning most likely isn't getting the same treatment.

The ultimate question is this:

If Sam Leavitt wins the Heisman next season, regardless if LSU wins the natty, do you honestly believe that Lane Kiffin will head into the 2027 college football season with Landon Clark, Husan Longstreet, and Peyton Houston as the only QBs on the roster? Do you honestly believe that Kiffin will not target whoever the "elite" QBs are in the transfer portal?

There isn't any way any of you can say with a straight face that LSU and Lane Kiffin will not target a transfer portal QB in the above scenario. Honestly, I think everyone including the media would be "SCREAMING" for LSU to sign a portal QB.

But that's just like my opinion. Let's see how it plays out.

If you know how good a dude is you want everyone else seeing it on film?

If Sam Leavitt leaves after this season, LSU is bringing in another transfer portal QB, particularly a talented starter from another team.

If Leavitt leaves after the '27 seaon, then LSU will still bring in another talented starter from the portal. Or maybe I should say they will target one and try to get him.

In either case, they're not going into the season with Husan Longstreet, Landon Clark, and Petyon Houston at QB. Neither Longstreet nor Houston would have any experience and LC played at Elon.

When I say Peyton Houston should go somewhere he can play right away, I'm not talking about going to Elon. I'm talking about North Texas, Tulsa, Hawaii, even a legit power five team that doesn't have an established starter at QB. Those teams are not throwing huge money at QBs in the portal.

So in your system, no freshman QB should ever sign with a high level university until they prove themselves at a small school? Ah yes, Elite 11 QBs are just pining to sign with WKU or Coastal Carolina.

They would be wiser to do it that way. And it's not just QBs. Unless a kid is a Lamar Brown type, then it may be in his best interest to go where he can play right away and put some college tape out.

The transfer portal has already drastically changed a lot about college football and recruiting will catch up to it soon.

Who's more valuable in the 2028/2029 season? A redshirt freshman/sophomore Peyton Houston who's been sitting the bench for two years or a Peyton Houston with one or two years of starting experience at WKU, Coastal Carolina, North Texas, etc..?

Now consider this example and throw in Peyton Houston absolutely tearing it up at one those smaller programs and being nationally recognized.

Who you want at LSU in 2028 or 2029? And which one of these versions of Peyton Houston is making more money in 2028 and or 2029?

Depending on what happens with Levitt this season, LSU isn't going into the 2027 or 2028 season without signing another portal QB.

No disrespect to Houston but I don't believe he does anything at LSU except transfer out.

Why? Because LSU is going portal shopping for a QB every year or two.

Peyton would be better off going to a program where he will 100% be the starter. If he does that, then he can be the "big time" QB transfer that programs want. Otherwise, he sits on the bench waiting for his time and his time never comes because he doesn't have "experience" like the portal QBs.

The first words out of his mouth should be, "Dick Vitale and Pat Forde - GO EAT A FAT ONE!

Maybe throw some subtle shade at Woodward as well by highlighting an administration that is supremely supportive of him. You know, as in alignment.
Can't wait for the first five star to announce, "I'm committing to the university of strong arse offers."

Dick Vitale and Pat Forde - E.A.D.

Can Verge blow away $8 million on MM buyout and millions more to hire WW?

So easy to spend other people's money, right?

If the financiers tell me I have to wait another year before getting a new coach, then I'll accept it. I'm not the one paying for it.
Verge isn't on the clock. The financiers of the LSU athletics program are the ones on the clock.

Why is that so difficult to understand?

The AD does what he is told to do. He isn't the one writing the check for McMahon and whoever the new staff is.

He probably donated just as much to the Dem candidate as well. He's just positioning himself for whoever wins.

BK can go eat a d*ck.

Frick that dude.

I'm going to disagree with that. The next Dem POTUS will pardon him.

Do the girls just ignore Kim at the end of the games?

I can see Kim losing her mind when they're trying to close out a game.

It's inexplicable how those girls act like they don't know what to do.

Maybe Kim needs to get her team's attention and get that butt in practice.

It's a shame that this thread will turn into a race thing.

Our country is run by criminals of all races, religions, and political affiliations.

My default position is that I despise all government agencies, politicians, ngos... - every godd*amn one of them.

All you need to know about Joy Reid is that white people live rent free in her head. Sadly, it's that way for a lot of black folks. Perpetually mind-f*cked into victimhood.

Frick no. I hate retiring jersey numbers. It's stupid. Just induct player into the school's sports hall of fame.

How many undefeated seasons in lsu baseball history?

Exactly my point.

You people are pathetic crying about the first loss of the season.

She did that 3 times against Ole Miss, two of those times the play was still live, but she’s getting in the face of the opponent/gloating.

I stand corrected. If she's doing this type of thing all the time, then yeah Mulkey needs to be in that butt. I only saw the one instance against OM b/c I had to step away for a bit. I haven't really noticed her wildn' out in other games. I wouldn't say she going all Dennis Rodman or anything.
I'm on the Grace Knox bandwagon. The only thing she did wrong against OM was taunt the player after the block. The play she made was legit and I Iike the fire and attitude she plays with.

If Kim sat her to teach her a lesson about taunting, then I'm good with it. If Kim puts her in the doghouse and leaves her there and then Knox transfers, then I'm going to want to kick Mulkey in the twat.

Yeahhh not sure using Putin’s take is wise

100. Putin incarcerates and or assassinates any opposition to his reign/power. Alexei Navalny was murdered two years ago almost to the day because he was a serious threat to Putin.
