He had a great game dishing it tonight. It’s great to see a true freshman develop in the absence of Thomas.
Is it me or do McMahon’s teams seem to play a little better when they have fewer players?

A perfect example of why baseball is such a crazy sport, why a box score doesn’t always tell the whole story, and how bad crap can happen to anyone for bizarre reasons
Why not tag close to the bag? You know that’s where the runner will end up. The throw had him
The whole football-is-king argument is fine for you and others to have, but it’s purely opinion.

It doesn’t mean that basketball can’t succeed. It doesn’t mean that the department can’t take it very seriously.

Basketballl should be heavily supported despite who is so-called king.

I bet three years ago everyone in Indiana believed basketball was king. There’s enough in the state and the surrounding area for both sports to be very successful—rank them as you wish but that’s all subjective
I think it’s clear that we hired a nice, calm, ‘clean’ personality to try and self-impose restrictions on ourselves before any worse could be done—at least that’s what it looks like looking back.

The joke is on us. We really went out of our way to screw ourselves regardless of if that was our intention. I think initially at least we thought we might be getting a good coach but morant, like Favre in football as previously mentioned, had much to do with any success.

Now I hope we get serious, get ambitious about basketball, and pull off a great hire. We are one good hire (and a major commitment to nil) away from possibly dominating the sec in all major sports, including women’s basketball, which is a subjective call if you want to put it among the likes of men’s basketball, football and baseball.

What is clear is that we shouldn’t screw around any more, nor should we doubt that lsu can be at the top of all major sports.
I think we’re so bad eventually we take the will to win away from our opponents.

Is it ok that I’m thinking about football while watching the basketball box score (not even the game)?

If we start to care about hoops, we could be great, much like women’s basketball, football and baseball
I hate to say it, but whatever brings us a new coach and a renewed commitment to lsu basketball is good with me.

Sometimes I guess the ends do justify the means
There’s no reason we can’t spend some money to get a coach that can motivate, evaluate, maximize talent and develop a roster. It just takes a little money, and it doesn’t seem to be in short supply.

If they don’t do it, it’s not because they can’t; it simply because they don’t care enough. And sadly that might be where we find ourselves
We’re seeing the difference between an effective coach (vandy’s) and one that, well, hasn’t been so effective.

The difference is clear and could be changed easily. And that change could have a quick and dramatic effect on the product on the floor. I hope lsu brass is learning… I don’t know what’s hindering them
At least we have $6M to spend elsewhere…

It it’s not difficult to see that this would happen

Did gulkner visit? I believe he was scheduled to come in but instead committed to msu.

What sense does it make to commit without testing all the waters? Unless we rescinded the offer, which I doubt based on his tape… I was excited about this kid actually. Kinda sucks but I suppose we must move on
All we need is a coach. We don’t even really need great recruiters these days. Just bags. We can do that, can’t we?

It shouldn’t be as difficult as we’re making it out to be. Just find a coach, the rest will happen naturally
It looked like king was handling the point ok, then Reese goes in at a pivotal possession to make a senseless turnover.

Reese might be a good player in time, but it’s fairly obvious that he’s not ready for sec ball at the moment. Why cant our coach see it when it’s so obvious? Actually, I can guess why…
When will we hear of a major change? All we need is a competent coach and a dedication to the program from the athletic department and we can get basketball rolling

If Indiana can turn around football quickly, I think we can do something similar for basketball. But we need a coach as priority number one
Why the hell did he go back in? What the hell is McMahon thinking?

Other than about losing his job. What a clown show
People love to mention that he was a 5-star, but let’s not forget that there was some discrepancies in his evaluation as a high school recruit One service said he was a 5 star player, another (probably more) disagreed.

Maybe he’ll play his way to being an elite lineman, but he’s got a long way to go

You’re right. He made two.

I suppose I’m upset that miller hasn’t gotten better since the end of last year. I think he could bring more to the table but he just seems timid offensively.
