Funny thing and absolute hindsight this morning, but if Elko kicks the field goals, and that game is 17-13. Are you feeling different or just happy to escape?

If we're gonna play coaching hypotheticals, what if Sark decided to just keep running in the red zone instead of letting Ewers throw?

It would have been a 31-0 game.

Let's say their fathers were 60 when the player was born that is 1857

The life expectancy in the late 1800s is like 40 years old you moron.

according to some of my buddies who are heavy into hoops it was the type of players he was expected to recruit at Texas. Lots of future NBA players, but they didn't really fit the scrappy type of ball he coached elsewhere.

This was 100% true, he suddenly had access to players like Jarrett Allen and Mo Bamba and decided to change his system away from the havoc style play that fit hits guard/perimeter oriented play at VCU
Shaka Smart got to Austin and decided to start not doing literally every single thing that made him successful at VCU and ran a completely different system.

Did he play QB for them?

ran on 524 attempts for 50 TDs in a 2 season stretch and didn't break down, tough as nails.

LSU is still cleaning house on recruiting in Texas

How many of the top 3 recruits in Louisiana are committed to LSU?
Attention whoring? The kid literally has only a single tweet on his entire twitter account.

It's nearly impossible for programs with A&M's wallet to get "left in the dust"

Your last national championship year was during the actual dust bowl.

Hire Dennis Fanchione and see how that works out for you

Fran has been coaching the aggies for the last 70 years?
So if being libs means bad at football and not being libs = good at football by OP's premise then why hasn't Liberty won the last 20 national titles?

Your fake military dork got punked by a *male cheerleader*

I like the OU/TX game. Just think it would be better at night.

The moment that game gets moved to a night game in that part of Dallas is the day at least 10 people get shot immediately after the game.

If the merger happens and TAM stays, how do they ever defend their actions and try to save face. Their fans have got to be humiliated right now.

The thing you need to understand is, when it comes to anything even remotely related to big brother, A&M collectively lose any logic and rational thought at all at how they're publicly perceived and just REEEEE into the void of "BURNT ORANGE SCHOOL BAD"

Any sane aTm leader

I don't understand this phrase
quote:

Well, a first would best Engineering school in the conference by a mile.

Holy shite, engineering school ranking smack talk.

Is there a term that goes further than "little brothering"?

tiny brothering?
The big 12 only needs 6 teams for a vote to dissolve the grant of rights, if 4 more teams can find a P5 home I'm sure this thing gets resolved within a year and we're discussing OU and Texas SEC openers for Fall of 2023 at the latest.
You hate to see this degree of little brothering
quote:

I counted 22 wins for Texas A&M and 39 for Texas in that span, and I had to go back to 1950 to count those 22 wins for A&M

Texas A&M once famously counted their Spring Game as a win for their season total.

And "tied for Big 12 south but lost tiebreaker and didn't even make it to the title game" as a Conference Championship season.
quote:

And at this point, maybe A&M needs to explore other options. No reason to stay where we cannot even be treated like an equal.

I hear the Big 12 might have a couple of open spots soon.
quote:

It'll be like the 1st Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare. SEC needs to throw Aggies a bone and make sure 1st meeting is at College Station.

The last time Texas and A&M played was in College Station so the next meeting will be in Austin.
Nobody little brothers quite like A&M little brothers
quote:

BTW, the entire premise of considering Texas as a member is a betrayal to A&M by the SEC and any school that supports it.

Nobody else in the SEC gives a frick what A&M considers a betrayal to A&M when the move brings in 10-20 million dollars more per school.
Not really, only Baylor tried to sue to block it and that was about it.
quote:

You guys are taking melting to a whole new level. I am impressed. I’m starting to like y’all now.

Wasn't it only like 2 years ago the entire A&M contingent "threatened" to quit posting because they were tired of getting made fun of and not getting "enough respect"?
quote:

False. Legislature will be convened for special sessions now and in the coming months anyway. All the governor has to do is list this as a designated topic and it becomes fair game for any and all legislative action during the special sessions.

There's already a current special session for the voter ID law and nothing other than that particular issue can be brought up during a special session.

Abbot, a Texas grad, isn't calling ANOTHER special session to block his own alma mater from joining a sports conference. Rick Perry ain't walking through that door and Ann Richards is dead, nothing from the Texas political side will be stopping this, if anything is happening it'll be from the Oklahoma side and that ain't happening either.
quote:

Finebaum just said that it came from A&M.

I mean, duh?

The report tweet was literally written by the Houston Chronicle's A&M beat reporter.
quote:

Liuccu says mutiple bills being drafted to stop this move

Looch literally doesn't know what the frick he's talking about.

You can draft all the bills you want but the earliest any of that shite can be brought up is in January of 2023, by then the decision will have been finalized for more than a year if not longer already.
This is just posturing from a Baylor grad so he can go home to Waco and tell them "well guys I tried".

The Texas state legislature doesn't even sit in again until January of 2023. Politics won't stop this.
Right, and TexAgs is just a bastion of all that is holy and right in the world?
Arkansas fans have considered Texas as their rival basically their entire history.
Arkansas fans have wanted to play Texas every year forever, they're 100% a yes vote.
