Palate is an inverse to the advent of color photography, televisions, and screens everywhere. That plus lighting improvements...wonder if that has to do with a lot of this.

Very few refineries in US can even accept this oil as it is ultra heavy oil.

I'm far from a petrochemical expert but I thought the oil extracted from the Guyanan coast was light, sweet crude. Which is why XOM was so interested in the play in the early 2010's.
Seems like threads are locked/anchored after a few weeks of inactivity. Would be great if the admins could unlock this one. Been a wild start to the league's regular season!

it would be well north of 100K for the same 200LC. People would be losing their shite over that price point.

I’d rather pay $100k today for a 25-30 year vehicle.

<—— drives a 100 series as my daily

I do like the new GX. Wish they’d badge it as LC too. Want the 3rd row + non hybrid option in the LC250

Landcruiser with the V8

RIP

Worst decision Toyota has made.

If they can figure out how to bring back a V8 LC with the 3rd row they’ll print money.

Please, oh please, have not donated any of that to LSU NIL.

He was arrested in 2019.

NCAA v. Alston was ruled on in 2021.

EBRSO has one
Where does he say he just now realizes the importance of the portal and NIL?

It's not a zone press. Their half court defense has been all zone, but in the backcourt they're in running a man press.

Got it. Admittedly I stepped out and watched one possession of the press. Looked like a zone disguised as man on the throwin

So far their press break has consisted of no picks for each other and guards picking up their dribble. Elementary basketball coaching is better than that.

Why would you screen in a zone trap press?

Or a coach who is so ignorant about the importance of NIL and the transfer portal. McMahon said at the end of last year he now realizes how important NIL and the portal are

You got a link to this?

it’s kind of depressing to hear about the state of the LSU lakes

They’re actively dredging them.
I’m guessing Bama fans eschewed the cross country trip in favor of the OU matchup and plans to go to ATL if they won.

Bama has been in the Rose Bowl a few different times in the last 15 years. LBJ was the president the last time Indiana played there.
Landry doesn't "care" about LSU Football. He's an opportunist and used the abrupt firing of Brian Kelly while LSU had an interim President to make changes that he wanted within the Athletic Department and Academic Administration.

If he truly cared he would have handled this privately.

The end result appears to be a positive one for LSU - but how this was handled would have been disastrous for all parties, Landry included, had Verge not stepped up and/or Lane remained in Oxford.

It's suspicious that after all his grandstanding a few weeks prior that he wasn't at the Kiffin press conference.

Quite lucky it didnt spread to neighboring homes.

The homes on either side had damage.

Avoid losing games prior to SEC play. Just like basketball.

It actually has nothing to do with that. It's almost entirely financial.

Road travel (especially beyond the Gulf South) gets costly. In college baseball, no team is paying LSU to travel to their site for a pre-conference series. So LSU is footing the bill for the trip which is air charter, 3 - 4 hotel nights, buses, meals, per-diem, etc.

On top of that, LSU is losing at least 3, likely 4, home games. That's easily $300-500k in ticket & parking revenue, not counting ancillary revenue from concessions, merch sales, etc.

This is all for a sport that is essentially revenue-neutral.

The above isn't even factoring that your opponents are limited because most teams from the northeast and midwest are on the road for February & March when you're trying to schedule these games.

Respect your opinion, but it is not upon us to prop-up the other state schools. Regarding the shared metro angle, we don't have to take our cues from other schools? Whether they do or don't, we need to do what benefits us the most. Just my view.

We play the in state schools because they’re cheap. Minimal expense to buy LaTech vs. GaSouthern.

Something tells me UGA, OSU and Bama wouldn't pull this crap we saw today.

Bama lost the reliaquest bowl last year to 7-5 Michigan.

OSU lost the 2023 cotton bowl to Mizzou.

When the game doesn’t matter to the “premier” team…expect opt outs and uninspiring performances.
