I’ll add “Rose Colored Glasses” by
Versailles, KY’s own John Conlee.

MSNBC? Really? Gee, liberal slant much? The “St. Louis Prosecutors Office” is having second thoughts! The people that prosecuted him aren’t having second thoughts! That was 25 yrs ago and as you can probably guess that office make-up looks a lot different today! This case has been reviewed on many levels and “no jury nor court, including at the trial, appellate, and Supreme Court levels, have ever found merit in his innocence claims.”
I grew up in Lexington also and still remember that day vividly. Started getting pitch black in the late afternoon. Was very eerie looking/feeling outside. I could tell my parents were really worried which kinda started freaking us kids out. Family business used to deliver produce to the grocery store in Stamping Ground, KY which is only 20 miles outside of Lexington and that town was obliterated.
Did my residency at LSUHSC. Over the years have worked at 3 east coast hospitals and one in P’cola and can tell you that 95% of surgical anesthesia is delivered by CRNA’s and would definitely want them running the codes as opposed to the attendings I’ve dealt with. There’s an old saying in academic hospitals, “those that can do, those that can’t teach”
Always thought The Who wrote Summertime Blues(Live at Leeds) and Alan Jackson covered it 20yrs later but it was originally written/released by Eddie Cochran

Agree that 2 door wranglers, especially with a manual, are fun to drive but they definitely weigh over 4,000 lbs and the inline six has been discontinued since 06

Yeah still rocking my 2010 5.4L with 231k on it. Have never had the first issue. Now, my wife’s 2016 Tahoe, that’s a different story. Total POS!
I think it’s definitely worth the drive to do for a day. Red River and Angel Fire, at least to me, tend to get boring after 2 days. Taos has some really fun runs and for just an hour drive is worth experiencing and adding to your list of been there done that. Nice on mountain German restaurant too.

I think it must depend on the dealer. Ordered mine and paid MSRP (38,900) when it came in. And take all that other BS with a grain of salt. Does everything my 2 previous jeeps did and with a lot more comfort and ride stability. Hasn't ever been in the shop, knock on wood, but couldn't say that about my TJ or JK.
re: Will gladiators and broncos hold their value like the wranglers do?
Posted by SleauxMoe on 12/10/22 at 7:24 pm to CatsGoneWild
I think the Bronco will. They have a cult following like the Wrangler does, just in smaller numbers. I just sold my 2021 2dr Big Bend last week for $46,500. Paid $38,900 for it. Liked it so much I ordered a more loaded one a few months back. And, definitely wasn't "Junk". Put 10k hard miles on it without issue. Did everything my previous TJ did, from trail riding to deer camp, only with more comfort and power. There was a batch of 2.7 engines built between Sep and Oct of 21 that were recalled but luckily mine wasn't affected. Speaking of junk, my Dad's 2013 Silverado was a complete POS. He finally traded it in on a 2016 F150 with the 2.7 Ecoboost and although I was skeptical at first, he's put a 114k trouble free miles on that thing already. This site is full of "OT Master Mechanics" that will talk shite about any brand. All manufacturers have a boatload of recalls. Just do your research and get what you like.
re: Selling a car in a private sale, do you remove the license plate?

"You absolutely have to turn it in" is completely false. All you have to do is go to the OMV website (www.expresslane.org) and cancel it. You can keep it and make a birdhouse if you want. As long as you cancel it right away it doesn't matter what you do with it.

That’s a Bronco Sport. Not even the same vehicle being discussed. Those have been out since Nov 2020 and are basically a dressed up Ford Escape for the soccer moms. Totally different platform and underpinnings than the Bronco’s that finally started getting delivered a cpl weeks ago.
You’re not seeing Bronco’s, you’re seeing the Bronco Sport which started delivering late last year and is a completely different platform. Bronco’s aren’t to the dealers yet. First ones just started shipping.
I’d be happy to promote some free GOAT gear!!
Little Missouri River right outside of Murfreesboro. About 2.5 hrs north of Shreveport.

Wow. I’ve seen many great ones over the last 40+ years but the first ones to come to mind would have to be.........
Rolling Stones - 78 Lexington
Fleetwood Mac - 78 Lexington, L. Buckingham played absolutely possessed that night
Tom Petty - 2017 Dallas, 40th Annv Tour with Joe Walsh opening
Eagles - 1994 Hell Freezes Over Tour at the old Texas Stadium
Bob Dylan/Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers at the Tokyo Budokan in March 1986.
Honorable mention - The Who - 1980, Paul McCartney 2017, and although not a huge Rod Stewart fan have to include his Oct 2001 concert in Shreveport. Was one of the first public events to roll after the country shut down following 9/11 attacks and he knocked it out of the park with his comments, patriotism, music, etc. Great Show.

Canebrake, Champion Lake, River Walk. All nice, gated, clean and close/easy access to everything.
Little Missouri River in Murfreesboro, AR. About a 6hr drive from BR. Great spot right down from base of Narrows Dam. No kayak needed. Just a pair of waders. Easy parking access right by rivers edge. And usually lots of trout.
We did this trip when the kids were young and had a great time. Don't think it's a week long destination. Lots of stuff around there, hiking, canoeing, etc. There's also some other caves and there's a big waterpark (Big Bend?) not far away, and some kind of outdoor Dinosaur world that you walk thru. We did a couple of days there and then drove across to Cumberland Falls State Park (abt 2hrs east) and did 2 days there and then down to Gatlinburg for 3 where we did hikes, whitewater rafting etc. From there we went to Chattanooga (abt 2hrs away) for the day and let them see the Aquarium there. Then back on home to LA. Just did a big circle. Sounds like a lot of driving but breaks up really nice once you get to MCNP. Was a great road trip.

Don't know about best but have to give an honorable mention to "Downstream" by Supertramp. Hard to get much deeper than the line "...you are the reason I was born"!

Guess I'd have to go with "I Never Dreamed". Curtis Loew and Simple Man, though great songs, have been so played to death by classic rock radio that I can't change the channel fast enough when they come on.
That's a nice looking truck! If you don't mind me asking, what color is that? On my screen it appears lighter than the factory Magnetic Gray.
