re: Effect of the portal that Alabama may benefit from

We have lost 7 players from the state of Alabama to the portal and gained 1 from Alabama. I’m not trying to be negative, but I’m not seeing the point.
And Texas hasn’t been loaded year after year?
Deboer was in year 1. Sark was on year 5 this year. Lol

I think Hill will be good to go as our starter. Never knew he broke both legs in high school until recently. I’m also interested to see what Riley’s role will be. He slowly lost reps throughout the season and the jaw break didn’t help.

He’s probably in a tough predicament. Enter the draft now and possibly go first round for as much or more than the $6.5 mil or transfer and take the cash guaranteed but risk pulling a Nussmeier.

Hopefully those Oregon guys entering helps us get some of them back. Collins is gone though
I mean we know how good our defensive guys in the portal are but we’re not trying to retain any of them apparently.

I’m sure but you’d figure Oregon could afford anyone. Bama should have some cash to spend after today’s announcements.

It does no good to get excited week 1 of the portal. I might just quit following it until next Saturday just to see how good or bad off we are.
Lol Texas fans are the butthurt ones for not making a 12 team playoff

The number floating around on X is $3-3.5 million from Texas.
Millions of dollars spent and still having to reminisce about Vince Young.

Lol back then, buyouts were less than Texas just paid Cam Coleman.
I don’t blame him for that. I could retire on that much. Hilarious thing is Texas can do this and still has nothing to show for it.
I remember how happy we were in ‘05 to start out 9-0. Glad we didn’t win it all that year because those games were vacated and Shula would’ve gotten an extension.

You’re typing this as if he’s already committed somewhere else. There’s a chance he still re-signs with Alabama. Obviously no one else has found him worth enough to throw a bigger bag his way yet after three days.
