Zoom Room. Nickname for WR room
Posted by GeauxTigahs1249 on 8/14/25 at 8:56 am
If this collection of WR's we have this year is really about the speed, which we have already seen a few of them prove it in purple and gold. But theres the couple new guys, who are supposed to be as fast if not faster. We might as well go ahead and give them a collective nickname. Nuss is gonna be throwing go routes like his life depends on it this year
I am so pumped for Clemson to get this work in 16 days

Kling and Jones really can make or break this team. I think they both take the step.
I also feel if Travinski and Pearson can make use of their PA’s, since they will both have a full seasons worth, we have a great shot at repeating.
Pitching will be possibly even more dominant and that’s scary.

Really Important Week
Posted by GeauxTigahs1249 on 9/8/23 at 1:07 pm
We have got to get as right as you can this week. We have a very tough schedule following with Miss state, Arkansas, and Ole Miss.
Schedule creators weren’t kind this year for us having cake walk games early like most teams.
CBK is gonna get these boys humming quickly!

August 1st, 33 days until kick off, just ordered the JD5 jersey. We are so close boys, let's Geaux!

#7 and #18
Posted by GeauxTigahs1249 on 7/6/23 at 7:38 am
Looks like several players got their numbers the last few days. Who gets #7 and who gets #18?
I say #7 should go to JD and #18 to Major Burns or Josh Williams

I believe JD5 has a breakout year and is in NYC for Heisman, I also think Sage Ryan might have a breakout season
BK Recruiting
Posted by GeauxTigahs1249 on 12/8/22 at 8:50 am
Just did a deep dive into BK recruiting history at ND. While he was putting up decent classes. From 2013-2020, he had only about 5/6 5 stars total.
I am not worried about his ability to recruit or get 5 stars especially to LSU, with our history. BUT we have none committed currently *247 rankings*. Which does worry me at least a little, after seeing he did the same at ND.
Should we worry, or are they coming soon?

We Won
Posted by GeauxTigahs1249 on 11/14/22 at 8:00 am
Can we stop the JD5 slander because of a lackluster game?
The only thing that matters was winning the Arkansas game, and we did. One of the biggest trap games in years. They played recklessly, and without care since they have nothing else ahead of them.
Game was close. Stats were bad. We won, and that is all that matters.

To me, besides the coaching staff, which I think deserve unlimited credit.
It has to be a lot of these dudes just want it so badly. Think about it. LSU was so down 2 years in a row. But you somehow retain Gaye, Oujilari, Ward, Baskerville, Roy, Penn, Burns. Then you get dudes in with the last bit of eligibility to transfer Foucha, Richardson, JBC, Garner, Brooks and even bring in Wingo. Then of course swinging Perkins and getting Tolan as well.
These dudes want to be at LSU and it is evident. They are fully committed to playing their tails off for CBK and House every single snap.
I believe that is what has been able to keep this defense so strong 4 quarters every game.

Most Important Players This Week
Posted by GeauxTigahs1249 on 11/3/22 at 10:45 am
Offense- it is JD5, has to be, but Boutte needs to have a UF game as well.
Defense- it is Baskerville, I believe in our DB's to cover together, our Dline to get good pressure, and Perkins to cover flats and chase down BY. Baskerville has to be dominant in the middle tackling and containg BY scramble and Gibbs since he is their best playmaker

I do agree there was a drop that was an easy TD, they also were gifted a bomb to the 1 to start the game that was not actually caught after replay.
Besides UT, which was by far our worst game in totality. Our DB's have been pretty stellar this season. I also believe in House, on a defensive playcalling/scheming side as well.
I don't see Bama having an elite WR like in the past. Bryce will have to be perfect more, than their WR's burning our DB's.

Probably gonna get killed on here for this.
Honestly probably too optimistic myself, but this season is not over. We can technically still win the West and overall SEC. We have to win out, and Bama has to lose to Tennessee, and beat Ole Miss. Crazier things have happened, and we are far from done.

Offense- Boutte, I also believe he will finally have his breakout game
Defense- Baskerville, I like what he has been doing this season. He has been in big games before, I see him making a huge play

Jayden Daniels

First off, I already like JD. He has struggled throwing the ball to an extent. I believe with what we have seen, he still clearly gives us a huge chance to win games. He also has not meshed fully with Denbrock. JD seems to play best in hurry up, which we need to see more of. WR's are not innocent either with these low passing totals, too many drops, too many throws that are slightly off but WR still are not making plays for him.
I love that he held the meeting last night. All player meetings are incredible for chemistry. So hopefully this will create a better connection with him and the WR's.
Also to note Anthony Richardson threw for 453 yards against UT, and has only had over 200 one other time. So I expect this week to show the country that Boutte, Nabers, Bech, Thomas, etc. are still one of the top WR groups in the nation. JD gonna not played scared when throwing it, and is gonna ball out.
LSU 38 - 28 Tennessee

I knew Auburn was having problems as a team in general. But wow I did not know it was that bad.
Their offense has 2 passing TD's this year. 1 to a TE and 1 to a RB. They have thrown 6 interceptions.
We may goose egg them, because our defense is very very real .
31-0 LSU, Geaux Tigers

Just doing some scouting, solely by stats from there first 2 games.
It seems that besides their own running game, which is probably around 100 yds/g. There doesn't seem to be anything glaring as a "weakness" yet. Now, they have played 2 not good teams, so their defense and offense of course look great.
Just wondering if anyone has watched them or has any more analysis to put in?
