re: 2026 Transfer Portal

Posted by Jimmy Chestnut on 1/20/26 at 2:08 pm to
I understand Indiana players since they were in the playoffs, but how are players from other teams still entering the portal when the window to enter ended on Jan 16th?
I don’t really have any problem with where we are ranked in a preseason poll. But what the frick is Penn State doing at 14

Lee also dealt with some injuries this year

So if the portal is closed, did Lee actually enter or not?

On3 and 247 are both currently saying that Lee will be back as long as Trinidad is our starting QB

For legal people on this board, approximately how long are we expecting this appeal process to take?

So was the one before this for Purchase or are there two new ones?

I think the last day to enter the portal is tomorrow. Basically the only way you have any bargaining power moving forward is to be in the portal.

At this point, all these players now have agents that are telling them to do this so they can continue negotiating for more money.

One of the worst calls I’ve seen in a while

I’m assuming Gill. I haven’t seen anything official but if you go to the timeline on his 247 profile it already says he committed today.

Isn’t Pounds out of eligibility too?

We’re going to need a QB to commit before any WRs will. If you’re a transfer WR with one or two years left to play, you’re going to want to know who is throwing you the ball.

Congrats. Hopefully you’re home by Thursday night so you don’t have to watch the game from this thing

I just had so many 4th and 25 flashbacks

Pavia played JC and his lawyer argued that shouldn’t count against his eligibility because it’s not NCAA. Chambliss was D2 which is NCAA

Which is why I was confused why we thought he could get a waiver. I didn’t know they were trying to get a medical redshirt.
I didn’t realize they were arguing for a medical redshirt for 2022. I thought they were just going with the Pavia argument that he should get more time because he initially played at a lower level, which I’ve never fully understood how he won that.

Didn’t see this had already been posted

He gets credit for winning it. I think Pete may get an astrick. Dont get anymore of our players hurt you loser. Go enjoy the best day your program will have in 50 years.

Just out of curiosity, how many fans showed up to tiger stadium today?
How many games does Lane have to win?

Sounds like Chip Lindsey may be the TE coach. Would be a home run hire for Pete

His Wikipedia page has already been updated

If true, wonder if any Michigan players would follow him in the portal
Yeah, having a home game on Halloween and it not being LSU is a travesty

No, it was 100% because I already knew he was a shitty coach

Exactly my point. We got to watch him look lost on the sideline during what was essentially a one year audition as a head coach and still gave him the permanent job.
I think one of the main reasons this feels different than the Luke hire is he technically had an interim tag for all of the 2017 season after firing Freeze that summer.

Everyone was already apathetic after we went 6-6 that year with a bowl ban and then still gave him the permanent job which just made the apathy surrounding the program that much worse.
