As of 6:40 CST 90% of Ranters like it. Sorry...

Didn't he have a pretty darn good season before the MCL injury?

Holy crap, already using his left hand for layups!
re: Lyn Rollins...Cant wait to hear him this season!!

"PUCKER UP AND KISS THAT BABY GOODBYE!!!" Lyn is the best.
A Guess as to Kiffin's Long Term Thinking

My take is that CLK sees a vacuum and he's working furiously to fill it. That vacuum was created when Saban left. What CLK is trying to do is what Saban did at the beginning at Bama, which is work furiously simultaneously on 1. Recruiting like hell and 2. Being successful on the field. Saban kept doing those two things and they built on each other. Be successful on field, attract better players. Be even more successful, attract even better players. Which ultimately led to getting guys like Bryce Young out of SoCal and Devonta Smith from Louisiana.
I think CLK sees the opportunity to do this here and has a vision that in a few years, we'll be getting not only top five stars from all over America, but also the top portal talent. Obviously, the part 2 (success on field) remains to be seen, but I think he/we have a decent chance at pulling it off.

Hunter and Anderson top 5 edge rushers in NFL so give WC a little slack.

Thought he was amazing in '24 season. Broke a ton of runs. This season he seemed to make bad, quick decisions on where to run which too often resulted in him getting stuffed for loss or 1-2 yd gain. Who knows. Maybe injury related. Berry was better at pausing a bit, looking for hole then blowing through it.

Won't get drafted that high.
Sam Leavitt still possible?
Posted by NewportTiger on 1/7/26 at 10:34 am
There isn't one thread on Leavitt up now bc of the D. Williams smoke. Are we to assume that the Leavitt ship has sailed?
Justin Jefferson gets 1,000 yards again
Posted by NewportTiger on 1/4/26 at 1:45 pm
Big accomplishment for Jets as he came into today with 947 yards and has 68 at halftime to put him over 1,000 for his first six seasons in NFL. Only he, Randy Moss, AJ Green and Mike Evans have done that. Congrats to a Tiger great!!!
re: Kyle Parker to the portal

I'd be shocked if he actually left. This is about getting more $ from LSU. He'll have a good QB, whoever that is, and LK calling plays for him.
re: Why do people act like Ed Orgeron and Frank Wilson love LSU so much?

Agree BK didn't give two shits about LSU. There's no question that Ed O and Frank love LSU.

Congratulations. You win the award for dumbest post of 2025.

Great point.

Didn't follow Sage this year, but it is undeniable that he was terrible at LSU. Clueless.

Couldn't agree more. Cringey on Game Day.

I love Coach O and think he'd do great job with D line but it would be too much of a distraction to hire him. I'll bet Lane feels same way.

Agree, but at 64 it seems highly unlikely that coaching burnout can be turned around. He just seems over it.
