You think Ukraine who have been in constant action since 2013 don’t have more pilots trained than planes not even considering that some planes were probably destroyed on the ground? These “who is gonna fly them” comments are complete idiocy lol

Many of y’all have never done any research on what an invasion of Taiwan would take. Yes it would take thousands of ships and it is accepted by experts that china would have to use their merchant fleet. So Taiwan and the world would know a month or 2 before it happened because china couldn’t hide the gathering of vessels. Also it can only happen on April or October because those are the only times the strait is passable for a large invasion force.
Taiwan also has layer after layer of defenses they will deploy to make china bleed at every step. From sea mines to boobie traps, a submarine force trained in attacking an invasion force, dug in artillery, rocket forces hitting the invasion and the Chinese mainland. Building and rock outcrops will have steel cables put between them to entangle helicopters and bridges and tunnels will be rigged with explosives to go off at the last moment. Spies and saboteurs that are already embedded in the mainland carriers out attacks and assassinations . Plus they have like 2.5 million reservist to add to their main military force.
It would make the Russian-Ukrainian invasion look like a walk in the park. Plus they at most would have a week or 2 to finish the job before and American/Japanese response force arrived. There are only a small number of beaches the Chinese invasion can land and they are fortified and have underground tunnels leading to them were soldiers and supplies can easily be reinforced and get in position. Their modern air force will be protected in mountain bunkers so china won’t be able to destroy it in the ground.
This is much different than Ukraine, Taiwan has been living under threat of invasion for 70-80 years and have been preparing all that time. There are several good articles written about what an invasion and defense will look like, it’s fascinating stuff. Also I know too long didn’t read

Lol ok. I’m sorry but a coach doesn’t win on every level at every single stop without one single failure without being good at X’s and O’s. While it might not be his highest strength he is absolutely good in that area

People don’t realize how great of a career BK has actually had. They just look at the ND stint (which was really good) and maybe a little bit of Cincinnati (also really good). Dude won two D II national titles, he won the Mac title at Central Michigan, Big East titles at Cincinnati, took ND to the BCS national title game and the college football playoffs. He has been named national coach of the year multiple times on the D II level and multiple times on the FBS level. There are 5 different seasons he was named national coach of the year on the level he was in at the time. He has been named conference coach of the year in like 4 different conferences. That’s not just a great resume. It’s an all time resume.

Yeah people keep parroting the idea that Burrow made a bad offensive line look good but that is simply a stupid comment that kept getting passed around on here. Two of those lineman make the all rookie team. 3 members of the offensive line have been drafted with a 4th and 5th possible. It was a terrible take back then and an even worse one now that the evidence bears out how wrong it was

Thanks guys this has been a lot of help and entertaining lol. I live in north la but I was able to get some Cartozzo’s bread from New Orleans. A local grocery store gets shipments every couple weeks. I got it once before but it must have been right before they got a fresh shipment because it was definitely old. This batch came in yesterday and is super soft. I was gonna use a brand of pre breaded shrimp I like out of breaux bridge but they were out. I see this brand all over, they sell pre breaded shrimp and catfish in a blue/green box. You still have to fry it but it takes the breading work out of the equation and it’s pretty good. So I’ll be breading and frying shrimp for the first time. I’m definitely gonna use Mayo by the way lol. Might mix hot sauce with it for a spicy Mayo though. Here is to hoping it turns out!

Lol I’m not thrilled with the idea of Bianco but he is easily one of the top 15-20 coaches in college baseball and it’s not really debatable. Saying it is easy to find better than him is a hilariously bad take.

Lol his offense is better than almost all of those Big Ten and ACC teams you refer to. Both of those conferences are having poor tournament showing last by the way.
Nope whether or not anybody on here would be pumped about the hire should be the last consideration. We don’t need a splash we need a good coach.

False, we have just as much if not more talent currently as we did when we won the title and the offensive line was named the top unit in the country. They need coaching and an offseason to work together and get better. It would be great to sign 1-2 5 stars offensive lineman every year but it isn’t a requirement to have a top offensive line either. And yes juco recruits are there for a reason but apparently you have no idea what that is lol.
