I am a 1000 percent Jay guy and I think he will get it right… but he’s really gonna have to do some rethinking on his approach after this season. I don’t know how much budget for players played a factor or portal or what, but this is just a bad baseball team. Mentally weak, poor in game decisions, poor approach at the plate, can’t field, can’t catch at the plate, can’t consistently throw strikes. It’s just bad all around.

We are just gonna have to ride with these young guys the rest of the year. It’ll suck losing some of the guys we will lose (Brown, Curiel, Stanny, most likely Milam), but we have some solid youth we can build on. Jay is just gonna have to get his hands dirty on some fundamentals. We are lacking them.

Maybe that’s the problem, we don’t have a single player on the roster that can sub in to second and be a serviceable player. Legitimately the third game we have lost because of a defensive sub at second.

Our remaining SEC series are decently manageable - Georgia. If we could somehow sweep South Carolina, that would be great. I find it hard to believe an SEC team with 16 wins would struggle getting into the tournament. Most years that puts you close to the hosting conversation.

Are you being serious or trolling? Yes Jordan Thompson was not as good of a fielder as Milam, Bregman, etc. But he was still a good fielder and started SS for 3 straight years. One of which was a national championship team. Comparing Braun, Dardar, and Pearson to Thompson is disrespectful.
