MARPS - Trust Fall?
Posted by Levatikyn on 6/4/20 at 8:04 pm
(Disclaimer: I currently hold shares of MARPS, and should be assumed biased)
I’ll put my analysis below, but I also had a question to the veteran investors of the forum:
Is there something not easily seen with trust stocks? Are they just boring, or some flaw that investors would stay away?
Analysis (Per share, TTM):
Market Cap: $3.62M
Revenue: $0.41
Expenses: $0.10
Earnings (Diluted): $0.28
Cash: $0.47
Debt: $0.00
Assets: $0.00 (Because it’s a trust?)
Dividend: NA (Trailing $0.32)
EPS Growth% (3y): -2.94%
I would assess price value at $2.57
(“.28 Earnings” x 7.5*) + (“.47 Cash - Debt”**) = $2.57
*Owning the business, expected ROI of 10 years. Accounting for margin of error, subtract 25%. That's where the "7.5" comes from.
**Cash - Debt is added to the valuation because owning the company, one would also own the cash.
Currently sitting at $2.00 in after hours trading, and I have my lot for $1.94 currently.

UPDATE: I was 9% down at one point today, but I never felt like selling, or that it wasn’t going to reverse. With the stimulus announcement, it only reaffirms that the market is in trouble, sadly, and will collapse soon. I’m holding tonight and into tomorrow.

UPDATE: Just bought SDOW again at $37.90, and will hold through until tomorrow.
The Dow is up 2000 points in 3 days, and investors will want to cash in soon. The question is asking where the bottom is, and how long will people keep selling.

UPDATE: Sold at 39.80 because I’m not sure if the market will spike up or down tomorrow morning. I’m thinking it will rebound a bit in the morning, and start to slip late morning/ early afternoon?
The market will start to slip and fall tomorrow or Thursday is my best guess. Maybe after a news conference or something. Too many investors trying to sell off to recoup losses from late February to now.

I hope I’m wrong too, I want the market to recover.
I just don’t see us being there yet. Businesses need to open back up, and people need to go back to work for our economy to recover.

Bought SDOW $37.14

My Opinion: The market is being held up artificially, and will tank again Wednesday or Thursday. The rally were seeing here is investors buying after the market dip last week, and they’re going to sell off here shortly.

Interesting question...
JNJ is a solid company. Forget the vaccine, they make products/ brands that people need right now. Also, it’s a brand, not a store. So they can sell their products anywhere that’s open.
How much do you think their worth? It’s all about timing, and buying for a price you think they’re worth. I would buy them at $120 personally

Looks like they are both headed wayyy down. Gm sales dropped 7% in the first quarter
Interesting question! What would you think Ford is worth to buy? $157B in debt, $22B Cash, and $47M Avi to Common income from $156B in revenue the past twelve months.
They’re sinking, and need to change with the market. I will say, they finally have a fully electric car coming 2021, Mustang Mach-E. Don’t know if they’ll sell a lot compared to a Tesla/ other electrical vehicle, but who could say? ¯\_(?)_/¯
I think people buy mustangs to hear the roar of the engine, not a “silent” electric car.
How do you think GM is worth buying? Debt $104B, Cash $20B, Avi to common income $6.58B from $137B in revenue.
They’re certainly better off than ford, but I don’t know when you would buy them. They’re the lowest in price since 2012, but they should continue to go down with the market.
Also, both companies are going to change their dividends immensely.
SUMMARY :: I wouldn’t buy Ford, and GM I would wait to $14-$15.
@Decisions :: Thank you for the response. I had considered the pound, but I wasn’t sure. Very convincing to not consider popular currencies, because they’ll be issuing bailouts as well.
@iAmBatman :: Your “specialty” is something everyone can do, state opinion as a fact. I’m coming here to learn, and try to contribute. I’m concerned how you immediately treat someone new to the board.
I B Freeman :: DAUD is 4x leveraged against the dollar vs AUD. It’s gone up 2% the past week, so maybe ??
LSU2a :: Ignorance ???? To put it bluntly. I didn’t consider other countries bailouts, and what a 15% drop would truly signify. But, I got that number from the 10.5 trillion dollars available physically/ electronically today. You put in another 2 trillion, and the dollar drop approximately 15% in value. It was a hunch, and I wanted to see what I was missing. @Decisions and @UltimaParadox were quite helpful and put me back on track. Thank you!
UPDATE: I sold UDN for 3% profit, and bought SDOW yesterday $45.36/ share at 11:08 am, because the market was going to tank. I’m thinking the DOW will hit close to 16-15k. Up 14% so far.

Yeah, Japan put forward a 100 trillion Yen ($1 trillion) stimulus, Australia a A$130 billion, and Canada $75 bil. I looked through the 27 euro countries and found mixed results. Netherlands is not having it! ??
Thank you for your response Ultima, and you’ve brought up a great point.
Batman, all I know is that I don’t know much. I’m sorry if I’ve given you the impression of some “know-it-all”. You seem to know very much, and can know a persons intentions instantly. Truly a remarkable skill.

Can you pin point evidence I’ve been presented with, or just the 2-3 word replies? ¯\_(?)_/¯
Alright, let me be more specific:
UDN has been steadily going up the past few weeks, and it’s a bear against the US dollar. It tracks world currencies against the dollar, and retuned about 3.5% last week.
There are inverse etfs 4x leveraged against the dollar, but are specific to the Euro, Yen, Canadian/ Australia dollar, etc.
When the dollar drops in value, which currency would you buy to hedge that?

Bearish Dollar VS What Currency?

With a 2 Trillion dollar stimulus, the dollar should drop in value about 15%. Which currency should I buy now to bet against the dollar? I’m not too familiar with other currencies and their values.
Why do I think the dollar will be diminished 15%? We currently have 10.5 trillion dollars in the world today, and we’re about to add another 2 trillion dollars more within a few weeks.
