These aren’t the only places with warm weather in the early spring.

The Rio Grande Valley region in Texas could be a great fit for this. It would boost the local economy, they definitely have the ideal weather for it and it’s much more centralized than Arizona or South Florida.

For this discussion the cities included would be McAllen, Edinburg or Boca Chica Beach or South Padre.

With all that Elon $ down there, it seems like it could be done. There’s also a lot of “winter Texans” that would be a solid support base.

Tell me why not
BR people have some complex towards Lafayette. They clearly have a bias and think LC is better.

Nola people don’t like BR. They have a bias and think Lafayette is better.

It’s like br sticks with LC and Nola sticks with Lafayette.

It’s an odd situation but it’s Louisiana so it checks out

Dude you’re way out of touch.

LC is so awful these days. It’s Shreveport level bad.
People don’t go the speed limit or a respectable speed anywhere.

It’s even worse in Texas

Now, when they push back,

That’s the issue. They are trained to be very pushy and won’t backdown.
The top 3 in the state is very easy these days. You can rank them however but it’s really top 3 in any order based on personal preference.

Lafayette
Mandeville/Covington
Ruston

There’s a Grand Canyon gap between these 3 to #4.
They are as all in as it gets. Not sure what else they can do.

Basketball is the real sleeping giant. Boy if Willy returns it’s exploding
He should have come back for his senior season. He could have really improved his stock.

I don’t know why guys who aren’t first or second round projections declare early. It’s been a long standing trend at LSU.

Guys can make more now in NIL by just staying than they could by fighting for a roster spot in the nfl
Here I don’t see dusting I see some butter garlic hot sauce tossed crap. It’s awful! I refuse to eat at a restaurant. I’ll only buy live and boil myself.

Don’t trust those places.

Crawfish popularity in Texas

Is crawfish now as popular in Texas as it is in Louisiana? Everywhere I go around Houston they have it. Live or boiled. Mexican restaurants, seafood restaurants, BBQ restaurants, sports bars. It’s in way more public places here than I remember in Louisiana.

I’ve seen it being boiled in very large batches at ranches in South Texas as well.
The NIL resources for men’s hoops will funnel in quickly if he leaves Nc State to return to LSU.

Oh so quickly

This is the equivalent to Big12 teams thinking they won the SB when they beat an sec team in a bowl

I totally forgot PM went to South Carolina. Such a weird move by him. It tarnished his legacy IMO
Alabama’s demographics are improving year after year. Meanwhile Louisiana’s are doing the opposite.

Many of the good apples are leaving for greener pastures. Unlike in Alabama. They are retaining and attracting people. Especially Huntsville
Yet we’re all supposed to have a problem with the guys working on the house?
Can I rent a house in a desirable school district and use it to register my kids in the schools despite residing elsewhere?

Like keep my mortgage on my primary house, rent a house just for the address and use that address for the schools

Horrible idea
I think guys who really like sports are super pushy on wanting to get their kid involved in sports. Then when the kid isn’t remotely interested, they are so bummed out.

Two things:
1. Just because they aren’t liking it today doesn’t mean they won’t later.
2. There’s so much more to life than sports. It’s ok to be a spectator but have other hobbies.

Take that kid hunting, fishing, try robotics or get them into music. Learn how to play instruments. That goes way further than pointless little league.
Kind of hard to retain people when you have an incompetent government resulting in very limited economic growth and opportunities.

Louisiana is great if your family is well connected. For the average citizen just trying to carve out their path without help, it’s just never going to happen without leaving.

Doesn’t help when you have a powerhouse like Texas right next door poaching folks left and right. I mean seriously you can live in Greater Houston and still experience all the Louisiana things without dealing with the bad day to day stuff.

Also on top of all that legs be honest. Demographics will always hinder Louisiana. No matter what the government does, the demographics are next to impossible to work with and grow with.
