re: LSUS Online MBA Reviews

Hello all,

I recently finished my first class, FIN 701 with Sung and completed with an A. I'd say he format was pretty good, had video lecture, powerpoint, practice problems with answers that mimicked the exams. Just took me about 5-8 hours a week prepping.

I'm starting FIN 740 Financial Analytics for my second class with Sung as well. Does anyone have info on this course? is it the same type of set up as he provides for 701? or are there other classes I should be doing first before this one? My concentration will be data analytics

Thanks, I'll look into Ambrosio. Currently im with Sung in FIN 701 but he seems pretty straight forward
Oh I know that. But its still an aspect of investing that I'm relatively unfamiliar with and would like to educate myself. I would like to dabble with options in a much smaller amount that major of what you see on r/WallStreetBets. What I do not want to do is go in uneducated and YOLO away all my hard work
Anyone have a good educational read on options? Always been a buy and sell but have wanted to get into it. Too much garbage on the internet about it though
I couldn't be happier with my single share of AMZN! I love that people can purchase fractional with no commission. At least its getting people to invest their money

Who did you take for Acct 701? How was it if you had more time to focus on it and would you recommend your professor? I believe I am scheduled with Huang for Acct 701 in December
Buy some crypto (Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP) put it on a Ledger Nano S. Put it in your safe and come back in a few years. Don't lose your passphrase

Does anyone have any recommendations on how much time to set aside a week on average? Time management will be key for me as I have a full time job and will be doing some side work as well for a second company. I will be taking one class at a time. I saw something on RateMyProfessor where someone said they needed 30 hours a week for a single class? but then some make it seem like this is a breeze through program. Starting Summer AP2 in FIN 701 with Kim Sung
As title says. I'm going to be doing some sidework for a startup trying to gain retail accounts and new distributor networks for them. The pay will just be 1099 commission based off of a percentage of revenue I or the DSD network generates. Should I use a LLC for my pay? Do I need to let them know I'm using an LLC? Any suggestions for me? I am experienced in CPG sales but this is my first 1099 gig. Any help is appreciated
I worked for them right out of college. Do yourself a favor and go get a mortgage thru a credit union or literally anywhere else for all that matter.
I'm still DCA'ing my index funds...but I must say I've been throwing $100 here and there and loving the results. Just made +115% on KTOV today
Reddit r/PMsforsale or r/Coins4sale I used to sell ebay but the fees are outrageous. Very easy process, people leave reviews and send pictures to verify. I get very fair price and you pocket 100% Much better than pawn shop

Whoever recommended KTOV, thanks. Whats the thoughts, let it keep running to $1 or sell at 33% gain
Exactly! Its not capitalizing on peoples misery. Your in the market to buy, they're in market to sell. Simple as that.

If someone truly didn't want to capitalize on someones misery they should only buy stocks at the 52 week high price. that way you bought off someone who profited

I'm seeing your point. This degree should not cause any issue IMO. As mentioned I'm in CPG and thru scrolling LinkedIn, I am seeing director level plus roles thru companies like PepsiCo and the people have UofPhoenix and other of those types. Atleast this will be regionall accredited. On the other hand it makes me think if these hiring managers are accepting degrees from programs like that, then they probably would not know the difference

Exactly, I mean the school changed their colors and logo to mimick LSU a little while back. My VP knows what school I'm going to. Since LSU is not a top 20 MBA I don't think it should make much difference. In my industry (CPG) I think its more likely for someone to recognize the name because of the football program and not because they know anything about quality of education

Unfortunately none of them seem to have the class for the 7/6 term posted. Atleast not available right now. I'm currently registered to Econ 705 with Fassil Fanta. I may still make changes.

Have you taken 1 or 2 course at a time? About how many hours per week?

Anyone have recommendation of which order to take course? Or even to start? I wanted to start with FIN 701 in July but it looked like the profs weren't the best options so I'm going to hold off and do Econ 705 instead. Any insight to previous experiences would be greatly appreciated

I saw PHUN at 2.22. Set a limit buy if the price came back to below 2. Now it is down in the 1.60s after I bought at 2. I'm not having PHUN lol

Yup, I get it may be a little deceitful, but it seems like that harmless gray area where if someone says "I thought LSU was in Baton Rouge?" Then I can go into detail about what the program was and how it is a satellite campus in the same system. At the end of the day the resume is just to get your foot in the door for the interview. LSUS claims to use the same curriculum as LSU, OSU, and even MIT for MBA. As far as my undergrad experience, I literally never received one question about education or verifying it across 4 companies.
