I think we should all have learned that LSU is top 5 in NIL combined with willingness to spend. We aren’t gonna pay O, we paid him. We aren’t gonna pay BK buyout plus O, we paid it. We aren’t gonna be able to lure Kiffin with a massive contract, we did.

I think Miami is more worried about finding a QB. Hard to get a big time OL I would think without a QB.

I see Bryce Young and Chambliss mixture with this guy. His throwing motion is just like young and he moves around very similar to Chambliss.

Philly did have some recruiting nuggets at times. Also called his shot with Lane.
I do think he has a source but not as connected.
I’ve followed along and whispers has called some things. He called Lane probably before anyone and mentioned Leavitt early on. Also had some stuff about the BK firing that came out. I did see where he also said Tre Wilson to LSU 2 days before it actually went official.

He broke Matt house hiring before anyone. Dropped several bombs on staff changes. Also some basketball intel in regards to Will Wade. He definitely has sources or a source and is typically pretty accurate.

That’s what I’m saying. Demond Williams is probably better right now than Leavitt. And no overhanging injury.

This may actually be possible gentlemen. Just think about it. Williams will likely be a high pick. He comes here and lights it up and is drafted. Allows Leavitt to heal and learn Lane system to a tea. Leavitt then has 2-3 years left.
Also think about how long this “visit” has been going on. Should be a pretty easy sure commit right? Maybe just maybe Lane and company are doing some convincing.

Lane Kiffin is talking on the phone and he’s talking with Knox’s (his son) teammate. Both Knox and Lane are both in the car it sounds like. Essentially Golding tricked Kiffin originally and said 2 Ole Miss players are re signing with Ole Miss, then says no LSU got them. Listen for yourself

Seeing on Tennessee On3 boards and some Twitter smoke that Heupel could be on his way out possibly? Seems like a long shot, but I’m curious if Tennessee realistically thinks something like that could happen? As a reasonable LSU fan, I think Tennessee and LSU probably pretty similar and would be maybe a lateral move. I do think he would do well here though.

I’m fine with Woodward having more eyes on him and limitations. Definitely don’t want him with free reign like prior, but I think completely firing him would be a massive mistake

Woodward had major say in the BK firing did he not? I mean it’s widely reported he met with BK and told him to pack it up after not liking what he heard.
He didn’t wait, he didn’t let it get worse. Yes BK was a mistake in hindsight but at least Woodward gathered the army and is fixing the mistake and fixing it relatively faster than anyone thought.
Big money people trusted Woodward for that?

First off let me just clarify. Do I think Scott Woodward has been great? No. Do I think his contract decisions have been good? No.
However, I do think Scott Woodward has been good here in his time at LSU.
Hindsight is always a tough game to play. And Woodward has been screwed in that game. He gave life to A&M and stole a top 5 coach in the entire country when he hired Jimbo. Yes it was an absurd contract, but not as absurd as you people make it. Jimbo was extended long after Woodward left thus causing that huge buyout.
In his time at LSU he has 2 slam dunk A+ hires. 3 nattys between them. Along with this he hired Brian Kelly, who at the time he hired him was a sure fire top 10 coach a A+ hire on paper. How is it Woodward’s fault that Brian Kelly was lazy and mailed it in?
Woodward has given LSU every opportunity to be successful in a very difficult era. With him at the helm I have no doubt that LSU could shock the world and steal a coach no one thought they could. He has a lot, and I mean a lot of connections.
Does he have his flaws? Yes. Has he missed? Yes. But his good for LsU and the potential for even better outrule the negative in my opinion.
It can be so much worse than Woodward.

Good points, and that goes back to what I was saying with the contracts.
I think Woodward still should get a say but a committee also getting a say as well. I’m not on board with firing Woodward completely.
