In Louisiana the shooting part of the CC is a joke

The live fire qualification for the basic CC here in Arkansas is 15 out of 20 from 15' away. At my range the closest distance is 7 yards. I got a lifetime CC when I was in Alabama without any live fire requirements.

Whenever it warms up enough to go to the range I will see what everyone has suggested works or not.
Minnesota needs to become part of Canada and then the US is free of this BS.
I wish we had some nice non Walmart grocery stores up here in Waltonland. The other option is Harp's.

Every heat pump I have had, you had to manually turn on the heating strips by a switch that said something like “emergency heat”….

I have that button also. The first year in the house I had to use this when the temperatures got down into the teens and the heat pump could not keep up. In my opinion a heat pump should not be used where I live at. Since then I built a home entertainment center with a propane fireplace in it. I use it now instead of using the heat strips.

When I raise the temperature 1 degree it goes to stage 1. If I got up 2 degrees it goes to stage 2. I turn my heat down to 76 at night and when I get up Ilike to raise it up to 70. I have to do this in steps to keep from turning on the higher cost heat strips.

Thermostat?

I hate the thermostat that I have for my heat pump system. If I raise the temperature 2 degrees it kicks on the heat strips. So I have been doing it 1 degree at a time. Do all thermostats work like this? If not what is a good replacement?

Plus the thermostat is in the front hall away from the main part of the house (living room and master bedroom). Most of the time the temp at the thermostat is 2 degrees lower or higher than the main part of the house. Moving the thermostat will be very hard to do.

Get one or two experienced shooters to fire the handgun from the same distance that you are shooting from - Their results should tell you whether it is the gun or you. If it is the gun, even though there are no windage/elevation adjustments on the firearm, a gunsmith would almost certainly be able to adjust the sights. If it is you, take a few lessons from a good instructor.

I had my brother shoot my handgun and he was right on target. He shoots a lot on his property and I have just started to shoot regularly.

Looking at my shots on my target I think the "dropping head " may be my problem. I guess I need to raise up my arm more to keep from tilting my head.

Range Help?

I have been going to a range to practice for my CC test. I am shooting low and to the left. In order to hit the center of the target I have to air high (top or last ring) and to the right. I am shooting at a 12" x 12" target seven yards away. My handgun sights are not adjustable.

What am I doing wrong?
When it does come it will most likely be too expensive for most people. It it turns my brain off at night I am for it.
I believe Trump waited to long to help and the protesters will be slaughtered.

They need to get a truck with a water cannon. In this cold weather it will hurt a lot.
Bombing Iran will help, but it will take an army to fight it out with the Republic Guard.
There will still be kill squads going after the protestors unless the leaders are taken out. The protestors needs to be armed to fight.
For some reason I get an error notice when trying to open your links.
I went through my jackets and I have a Carhartt hooded jacket that has an inside pocket big enough for my S&W M&P 9mm Shield to fit in. This solves my cold weather carry question.
