There’s the Beck we all know and love

Ooof
Might I suggest this is now the Bama “Meet me at the Sonic” Rant Thread
quote:

How did they get screwed over?

Abandoning your team before the playoffs, and raiding its coaching staff mid-playoffs is fricked no matter how you try to spin it

I get you’re an LSU fan so you’re obviously going to want to defend your new coach, and you’re taking joy in knowing LSU is having a part in doing this to Ole Miss when they couldn’t handle their business on the field…but if it was happening to LSU, y'all would be melting even worse

What we all witnessed is bad for the sport, and bad for the conference. Commish shouldn’t have allowed this to happen, and def should put rules in place to ensure it can’t be done to anyone (including LSU) again
He’s probably not wrong

Got absolutely screwed over by their former coach…but that seems to have been his identity his entire career

shite’s crazy. I actually thought he had maybe changed after the Bama debacle
Green is EXACTLY what we needed

Last 72 hours got me excited
Why? I never thought of them as poor

Also with players jumping into the portal they’re obviously getting access to freed up funds
This is exactly what my mini-rant a couple pages ago was about. Ty may have pissed me off at times during the year, but he had some great moments too and loves Bama

I will take this kind of pride in our program all day. If you are a mercenary that simply wants to go to whoever is going to drop a bag, kick rocks

I want people that give a shite about the bluebood coursing through this program’s history, and when they have success in the future, their words make it clear they were built by Bama
quote:

Besides depth, what did we lose with Renaud leaving ? He was decent to good but not a true game changer. All we can do is trust the staff to replace him with someone better.

Renaud by himself doesn’t upset me. But multiple guys at these positions leaving erodes our depth, and chemistry on the field. Indiana is about to compete for a natty and it’s because they got the oldest team in the country, that’s played together for a long time. While I’ll be shocked if they can sustain their success, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to look at what their doing and realize experience can absolutely be a proper (and dare I say, more effective) substitute for young talent

I want to see us go after some seasoned guys the rest of the portal, especially since there is no spring one anymore
I’m just gonna say it

These kids are soft as charmin, and if someone transferring in is enough to run them out of town, get your bitch arse out then

Good luck when life hands you real adversity
If they lose, I would 100% assume 6 coaches from the last game not being allowed to coach this round is a significant culprit.

Kiffin should be blamed for that

If they win, you could say it definitely is a testament to Golding’s ability to hold the program together with duct tape and spit in the wake of Kiffin’s greed

I don’t expect them to win
It's one season. I'm old enough to see us win 7 natties and not all of them were won the same way. We'll see what Indiana looks like when 60% of their team leaves after this year because they exhausted their eligibility.

I applaud what Cignetti built this year, but I'm skeptical if its sustainable. Being able to consistently jog a team that is mostly 4th/5th year players out there year after year is going to be incredibly challenging in this era. This season is 100% their best chance given all the pieces he has assembled, but Saban always said, getting to the top is one thing, staying at the top is an entirely different beast.
I’m actually happy for him. After all the shite he went through (and put us through), and after Lane dipped out just before the playoffs, I’m glad it’s them if it couldn’t be us
I disagree. We’ll run the ball better with more athletic OL

Dewberry might be one of the worst guards I’ve ever witnessed put on a Bama jersey, and Proctor has needed to cut 35-45lbs for 3 years

Carroll has promise. Geno tries but is too weak.
To be fair, last time he slid the refs let him get targeted without consequence

This is what I saw. Dude dropped his helmet and made contact with the crown of his helmet

It’s helmet or helmet or targeting. It’s not neither
A portal board that is only open for a month in winter and a month in spring would be cool
I haven’t watched a ton of their games this year but is this typical of their QB play?
Probably the worst QB play I’ve seen since Lagway against LSU
