The duo combined to drive in 8 of Alabama’s 12 runs on the night.
Purdy recorded his first collegiate home run and Barnett recorded his first multi-RBI game of his college career.

Mississippi State transfer Jamarion Davis-Fleming will take an official visit to Alabama tomorrow, per the @ThePortalReport.
Davis-Fleming was offered by Alabama out of high school but ultimately chose to sign with Mississippi State.
In his lone season in Starkville, he averaged 3.7 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 0.7 APG, and 1.3 BPG.
He grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds against Alabama in late February.
Another interesting thing to note is that Davis-Fleming’s brother — Javian Davis played for Alabama during the 2019-20 season.
Davis-Fleming played both the 4 and 5 spots last season at Mississippi State. He is listed at 6-foot-10, 240 pounds and boasts a 7-foot-2 wingspan.

It was a weekend of missed opportunities in so many ways. The games all played out in a rinse and repeat manner. Slim leads, multiple stranded base runners, hauntingly untimely errors and unfortunate pitches.
Great crowds on hand - maybe the last great crowds of the season as the next home series is graduation weekend and the next after that is two weeks after the students get out.
Still lots to play for but need to start trending in a positive direction. A trip to Birmingham Tuesday to face a surprisingly good UAB team is up next.
