If he prioritized money over coach and team he'd be in the portal. Or at least flirted with it to gain leverage.

How is this a difficult concept for people to understand lol?

Why do fans act like they know these kids on such a personal level?

You mean why do fans use common sense?

If a top big man is only out for the biggest bag he can get he puts himself in the portal for more leverage. Almost guaranteed to get a much bigger bag that way.

If they don't you can use common sense and conclude that they enjoy their situation at their current school enough that searching for the biggest bag possible is not their priority.

Are you really saying he wouldn't have more leverage and get more money (whether he stayed or left) due to entering the portal?

He almost certainly would. He will one of the top bigs in college bball next year.
If Condon entered the portal he could likely get a much larger bag than just staying at UF without entering the portal.

But he prioritizes playing for a coach and team he loves over money.

Alex Condon returning for senior year.

One of Golden's best traits is his ability to connect with his players. They love playing for him and this is why we have amazing player retention in an age where that's rare.

Another year of the big contraceptive terrorizing SEC bball.

Chinyelu likely coming back as well.

Geopolitics is so unpredictable these days the stock market essentially ignores it if there's anything positive it can glean onto (like strong earnings).

Pretty big if he does get a waiver but we certainly shouldn't expect it.

He'll almost certainly be a better shooter than Lee was last year. Much better defender too.

Fland
Brown/Klavzar
Aberdeen
Condon
Chinyelu

That's probably a top 5 team next year. Looking like a decent chance Condon and Chinyelu return. So if Aberdeen is eligible that's pretty huge.

Yah I doubt Denzel was starting any locker room drama. He was always super chill at FL.

Maybe he and Owen didn't get along but seems like that would very likely be instigated by Oweh judging by their personalities.

I don't have any ill will towards Aberdeen. It's just the way college sports is now unfortunately. Kentucky massively overpaid him. If someone is offering you an extra mil that's certainly hard to turn down. He's probably not an NBA player so that was very likely the highest earning year of his life.

Of course Golden wants him back. Aberdeen is a very good college bball player but we all knew he wasn't worth the 2.5 mil or w/e Kentucky paid him. Good but not a star worth several mil. Proved it this year.

Back to being a really solid player for 1 mil. Golden will take that all day.

Denzel Aberdeen back to UF

Has this ever happened before? A player left for a rival and then went back? NIL portal era is crazy times.

*Disclaimer hes a senior but applied for a waiver for another year cause he only played like 40 minutes freshman year.
Move to Florida.

There's a Publix every square mile.

You can pay double at Publix for what you'd pay at Walmart for a slightly nicer shopping experience if that's your thing.
Yup Ament and Gillespie will absolutely need to be on their game. If they are there's a shot at taking out Michigan.
Still not sure how they lost so many in SEC play.

They have size, rebounding, defense, and enough offense with Gillespie and Ament.

Could give Michigan a good game.

I'll take 2007 UF but may be a bit biased.

re: Golden or Oates to UNC or KU?

Personally I'm not too worried about Golden to UNC.

He has everything he needs at UF to win, with much less pressure.

If Billy D actually wants back in college bball I could see that happening.
0 chance Haugh stays. Condon is probably early 2nd I think he goes.

Chinyelu is the only one I could see staying but I think he goes too. Someone takes him in the 2nd imo.

Handlogten probably gets another year via medical appeal though.

Handlogten and Mikic is the likely frontcourt. Big drop off unless we get a transfer. Brown at the 3.

We'll flip to being guard oriented again next year. Brown and Ingram to have breakout years. Boogie should be back at point.
Iowa has hit some huge 3s when it felt like they were in trouble.

Condon or Haugh attacking the rim finally got us into some kind of offensive flow.
Good job Tenner.

Better than us. Hard to see us winning this game to be honest. Iowa is out playing us.
