It’s pretty clear what the Dems and media are up too. They all know they can’t stop Trump from rounding up all the illegals that they want to use to cheat in future elections. They are hoping that if they can turn off enough people that supported Trump in the last election because of all the chaos going on then Trump will be forced to stop all the deportations.

‘79-‘80 is just the beginning. Pretty much every terrorist attack and Middle East quagmire the USA has suffered since then has the fingerprints of this evil government in charge of Iran all over them. Everything from the Marine Barracks bombing in the early ‘80’s all the way till today.
Nation building and trying to set up a Western style Democracy anywhere in the Middle East has a very low probability of success. Trying to do that while these bastards are giving any terrorist group willing to shoot at Americans billions and billions of dollars in funding, training, and arms made it impossible for the U.S. to get in and get out without shedding way to much blood and spending to much treasure. Taking out Iran was probably the only war in the Middle East worth fighting. Taking out this bunch of vipers will actually make a difference. When this government is gone it will set radical Islamic terrorist groups back 20 years or even longer without all those billions in funding.

That is the major sin. He allowed his family to do that knowing what it would do. When people here the I will adress it after the season line then it is distracting but people have hears it so much now that it really doesn’t cause to much of an issue. What has upset the heard at Ole Miss is his family going to BR. Now the players are wondering if he is stay through the playoff and it’s turned into a mess. That’s on him. Ole Miss made a mistake by announcing publicly that he had an extension on his desk. They should have waited till the end of the year to make it public. Everyone knows that he has an offer and he is not signing it. The longer he waits the more of an issue it causes. Been best I think to wait to the regular season was over at least before announcing that.

I get coaches do this all the time. All I’m saying is just bat the question to the side when it’s brought up like coaches normally do and finish the season. Then if he wants to go then he can go. If he wants to stick around for the playoff the he could. Instead of doing it that way he did it in the most disruptive way possible and let this thing get way out of hand.
I’m sure Kiffin and his wife are not dumb people. They knew what would happen if anyone outside of Landry was seen in BR or even in Gainesville for that matter. They had to know it was gonna cause a firestorm and create a distraction. Immature behavior would be an accurate way of describing it.

The same thing every other coach does in these situations. I’m not talking about any other head coaching positions until after the season. Better yet just be honest. I might be interested in other jobs but I have a commitment to this University and the players that play for me to give them my undivided attention. I will be listening to offers but as long as we have games left here I will not be available. These players are the reason I have these opportunities and I owe it to them to be focused at my job and be 100% all in and committed to this team and this university. He could keep his family out of places that his name is connected to about an open head coaching job. I think the whole world understands that Landry is dating a LSU football player. That situation is different. Everyone else though needs to be more mindful about their movements considering the situation so the don’t put Lane in this kind of position.

If he really cared about staying and coaching Ole Miss to a championship then he would have already signed that extension. Nobody blames him for being kissed on the lips by ambition and consider some more high profile jobs. There is a right and wrong way to do it though.

If Kiffin wants to coach Ole Miss in the playoff then all he has to do is stand in front of a camera and say I will not be taking any other jobs and I have no interest in any other head coaching positions but I want to wait and handle the contract extension till after the season so I can give this team my full attention and try to win a championship. That’s all he has to do. He could have done this weeks ago. What more does Ole Miss need to put up with from him when he will not make that kind of statement or will not sign the extension right now but his family wants to go hang out in places he is linked to when it comes to open jobs? Lane might be doing what he thinks is best for him by looking at other jobs. The leadership at Ole Miss has to do what is best for the school though. The school has a chance to win a national title and the head coach is not only being totally unprofessional but becoming a major distraction. I wouldn’t blame Ole Miss one bit if they told him to pound sand and get lost because he will not be coaching the team in the playoff.

The leadership at Cal may want to look in the mirror before blaming the coach for not winning games. I think Cal played an Atlantic Coast Conference game against Stanford yesterday. It s not like Cal is a recruiting juggernaut anyway. Kids growing up in California are not dreaming of going to Cal to play against BC, Wake, GT, or Syracuse. I know schools fear being left out of a conference these days but it might have been a better move for them to go independent and model themselves after what ND does. Taking a team across country half the season to play conference games can’t help attract California recruits coming out of high school. I doubt Cal would draw big names recruits anyway even if they still played in the Pac 12 but it just seems like playing in the ACC can’t only hurt Cal and Stanford because there are so many challenges in traveling across country to play half the schedule every season.

Yeah you make a good point. The Egg Bowl can still get really heated at times though and it adds a lot to that game.
