He pointed the finger at Simpson for not making the play in the first for Evans not having enough gas in the 6th. He basically said those extra 9 to 10 pitches Evans had to make to get out of the inning effected him in the 5th and 6th. Although Evans struck the next batter out in 3 pitches after Simpson’s misplay.

Jay always trying to steal an out to start off an inning before bringing in a new pitcher. He gets fried more times than not for it.
