A person I know her SIL was having a transplant today. So I donated money not thinking I would win but happy to support. And I won 20 eggs. It was a dozen and she gave me 8 extra. So Friday I start incubating them.

I got 5 more today.

Got straight run Morans and Leghorns. So could be either gender. Kinda cringe but it will get eaten if it’s a male. I have no use for fertilized eggs.

I wish. I was gifted with 10 layers from a friend who was moving across country. Coop and everything. Having chickens that like people and are doing their thing already made it so easy for me. Probably too easy. Also I was expecting some losses with the chicks… so far I haven’t lost any, people say that they are fragile. But they seem decently hardy to me.

I have 28. With 10 more coming.

The first 10 are already a little over a year old. So they all lay. I get like 8 eggs a day.

But in 8 months or so I will have so many eggs I will not know what to do with all of them.
